I love the wayfarer ease frame. I have 6 pairs of them. They are much better than the original wayfarer. The vey big downside of the RB4340 is that they are made out of propionate. I just wish @ray-ban were making them in acetate...

I just got em for $96 dollars, old style and hard to get mate black finish, … I just have to wait a solid month for it, since they come straight from Italy as a special order, since they are customised to my liking.. Great good looking sunglasses, these are sunglasses that you’ll live in your will for generations to come

Something about that tilt on the Original just sets it apart from the Ease and other styles. It looks so good, gives it almost an "aggressive" quality that looks really stylish. The Ease just doesn't compare

The original Wayfarer is actually RB 2140. I have both the 2140 and the Ease, but both have prescription, non-sunglasses lenses. RB 2140 is made out of acetate plastic---very sturdy, high-quality frames. The Ease is junk. Made out of cheap plastic, they are creaky, the lenses fit loosely, and the bow screws keep loosening up because they are stripping out. And this is on a pair of frames that weren't even 2 years old.

I love the originals they are stunning sadly the OG s didn’t work for me since it did hit my cheekbones a lot and I went for the wayferer ease which I love too but damn I do love how the tilt looks and I have been trying the original so many times in hopes the tilt won’t bother me but sadly it does feel uncomfortable. I want so bad to be able to use the 2140 but it’s not for me 😢😢 I’m happy with my wayferer ease but I also want the edginess of the tilt but can’t make it work

@@poethefallen1333 the OG looks especially good on women since it enhances the cat eye look. I found other cat hey models that are more comfortable but the Original looks so good on us women the problems is the uncomfortable tilt.

I have an original pair of 2140 in a 47mm and I love them but want to convert to reading glasses. I am wondering if you think I can use the arms from the 4340 on the 2140 to create less of a tilt. Thoughts? Thanks for helping me figure this out!

The quality is definitely just as good as the originals. Where people might think the quality is a little bit cheaper is propionate doesn’t quite feel as premium as acetate.

Not really no. Acetate softens over time and can stretch with eating or cooling. Propionate is stronger and more flexible, lightweight and just less sensitive to temperatures.

@@kibido7373 Nope. I replaced my Wayfarer Ease with original Wayfarers, because the propionate on the Ease is trash. They were creaky, the lenses fit loosely, and they were so flimsy that the bow screws stripped out. The original Wayfarer feels far more quality.

Is that for a certain country or colorway? I got black 4340s a few years back in the UK and they are definitely acetate and have the exact same quality heavy feel as the OGs.

Imagine historically acetate was used way before propionate to build frames, and strangely original wayfarer was on the market way before the wayfarer ease... I'm a wayfarer ease wearer, and I also wish the wayfarer ease were made out of acetate to give it a more premium look and finish.

Always liked the Original style but not the tilt, it's annoying and my face is too manly, original fits better femenine faces. The Ease was the perfect solution for me.
