I believe that both words, eldest & oldest, would work in that context. I am constantly amazed by your vocabulary. I really enjoyed your watercolor series but I am happy to see you back working with colored pencils again! Your choice of colors is so unique and the way that you place the shadows makes it look even much better. I am seeing people copying you all over KZbin but your work is much better! Going forward, I would love to see more original artwork from you in any medium.

Your use of color is definitely amazing. Love the purple shading in the red toadstool. Inspirational!

Henny, I am one of those people that asked you to narrate what you are doing. I got so much help from your tutorial. Here is a little information about Prismacolor, the original manufacturer of these pencils was Canada. The pencil was called Berol Prismacolor and was an excellent pencil back then. They were sold to the US and that was the start of the problems with these pencils. I love your stories of your life and I liked the videos of your beautiful garden and your holiday in Swisserland. What a beautiful country I live in Canada and we have the Rocky mountains and the Glaciers.

In English we call the top part of the toadstool the "cap," so yes - a hat. ;) I love your videos because I get to learn new coloring techniques, but I also find your voice very soothing and relaxing.

Hi Henny, first of all thank you for your videos! They are so informative, and I've learnt so much! I would so love to see a video of you colouring in Ivy herself and how you go about choosing colours for the skin tone! I would really really appreciate that! Once again thank you! 😊

The word Goldenrod, in America, that is the name of a flower....I absolutely love to watch you color. The way you build up multiple layers of color is wonderful to watch. It also takes a lot of patience....I also love your accent.

For talking about your niece, "eldest" or "oldest" are equally correct. There is a slight difference in usage, though. "Eldest" is only used in a family context, whereas "oldest" can be used in any context. For example, "eldest cousin" or "eldest sibling" are fine, but it would sound strange to say "eldest person in the room" or "eldest building in the city." But it is also correct to say "oldest niece" or "oldest sibling" or "oldest building."

P.S. I'm so impressed by your English, and only saying this because you asked. It's one of those weird usage rules in English. You come across as very very fluent!

So beautiful and informative. You are the layering/shading queen. What sharpener do you use for your Prismacolor pencils.

This was great. I'm really looking forward to part two. I also enjoyed The A team & Dukes of Hazzard. I live in Mississippi. I never dressed like Daisy Duke though! Lol I hope you're having a great day. I always enjoy your videos.

I would have never guessed Dukes of Hazzard and the A Team played overseas. When I was a child living overseas, we had one US station to watch American shows, whatever was on is what we got. If I remember correctly the cartoons played very early Saturday mornings and after that we were outside playing all day. Good memories 😊 - Faith

I suggest you add green on the red to make shadows more realistic.

Goldenrod is a weed flower that you’ll find all over the U.S. It is widely blamed to be the No.1 culprit for hayfever victims.

Henny - yes, goldenrod is the name of a weed whose flowers are the color of that prisma pencil. Pretty, but very allergenic.

I think the Name "goldenrod" comes eventually from "golden root". Rod translated to german means "Stange" and to netherlands "Staaf" btw. great work :-)

Goldenrod is the name of a flower. I guess they thought it was the same colour.
