Like when the person who plays mal (sad to say I don’t know he’s name) told amita that she could work in his hospital. Both kit and Freddy looked at each other like what? Lol

I have never come across a cast that respects the original source material and their characters this much as this one. They know how to embody the story and give the fans a performance they know it will love. We’re lucky to have them portray our favorite characters, for real.

It's probably because they have all read the books and so they understand their characters very well, where as in other adaptations, MANY actors prefer not to read the books.

They casted perfectly and not just in matching the characters looks and quality acting, but in actors who really respect the source material, but also adapt to changes in a way that honors the story and feels faithful to their characters as well. Given that the crows storyline in season one was created from scratch for the show, it tied in as well as if it had been a part of the books (hats off to the writers there too), and they really shined. Such a great adaptation!

I never thought I would write this as a passionate bookworm: But I find the series better than the books! In my eyes, the books are aimed more at a younger audience. Alina is much more naive, needs more time to grow. The series is simply brilliant. I've never seen so many great actors in one bunch, breathing life into such lovable characters. For me, the books have laid the groundwork to create a wonderful fantasy world in a fabulous series. Season 2 in particular often brought a tear to my eye. Many thanks for the great realisation!

They need to promote this show without crazy book fans being mad that they didn't adapt everything from the books. I did rlly like Shadow and bone but for something to be good TV, I hope they have a good spin and do make it a bit different from the books. However, jesper kaz and inej are very much unique characters I have never seen come to life so interestingly before. I hope they have good screen time

From what I can tell most fans are actually quite happy with the changes that have been made in the show. I've heard so many people say that they actually like the show more than the books. (Myself included) Or ok to be more precise The show is better than the shadow and bones books. But the Six of Crows books are better than the show. It's somewhere in between.

I'm a book fan but I understand why they did not follow the book page by page. And I saw season 1 and it was still close to the book with some changes but still same in whole point of view and combining the shadow and bone with the crows. Plus im happy with the changes too. And well I wasn't fan of Mal much so.. I'm hoping but... Yeah.. 😂😂 Edit: And you need to check and research cause I'm pretty sure many book fans are happy with the show and they are also the reason of the hype of this show. I saw many fan arts that changed the art they previously did closed to the faces of the actors from the show. And many more others.

I loved season 2 even more than 1 cause I love character development. It was darker and more real. It is also true to how we are as people. There is this darkness due to pain, but we also possess light and these characters were dealing with their inner demons and trying to make the best decision based on what they knew. I loved the hallucination scene with the crows and Kaz and Inej’s love was powerful. The unsaid words were more powerful. I also thought the Darkling when he mentioned peace at the end, was heartbreaking. He had suffered for many years and Alina had been a source of peace for him. He had truly loved her. He had in his own way also tried to protect Alina which was a twist for me. The writing and delivery were all perfect.

I have read numerous books and seen their love adaptations. One thing I realised is that a character inside a book and the same character on televison are two different entities. I really love the characters inside the books and I love how the entire cast has created the best version of this characters in real life. I cannot imagine any other people playing this parts....

With Wylan and Jesper's dynamic, I was like, "I'm totally okay with this!" and then there's Kaz and Inej after the battle and their scene there before she left... 😮If Shadow and Bone is greenlit for s3, I am most excited to see how the last few chapters of Ruin and Rising will play out on screen. The last chapters of Ruin and Rising and Crooked Kingdom are coming up, and we still have to see The Crows (minus Inej) break Matthias out of the prison... JAIL BREAK!!!!
