I loved this book! I'm an old quadriplegiac (77)--but I can control a computer with my mouth. I found your book in KZbin. I'd had a difficult day. Your book was exactly what I needed to pull me out of the doldrums. Than you!

I'm halfway through and I'm loving it! I'm sorry to hear that the day was difficult and the story was a perfect fit. Audiobooks are my unwind/escape as well. What are some other titles that you like?😊

@arcolbert I'm absolutely in love with the book! Thank you for the audio version. I'm vision impaired at the moment and have a hard time watching the screen for even a short period of time. Thankfully I have a smart phone that I can talk to that is typing for me😁 I am new to your collection. So far, AMAZING 👏 ❤❤

I can't wait to listen! I finished another series this morning and started listening to something else, but it wasn't keeping my attention. I just opened KZbin and said, "I really hope I can find a good audiobook." And BOOM!!! You had the lovely blue dot of new content!! (Hear) I go a listening!!

@arcolbert just finished. It was so good!!! I'd love to see a book 2 where it shows the struggles of building the alliance and another more distant enemy they have to work together to suppress. Or maybe their kid being abducted by the king who finds a way to wake up? I really just want more 😅❤😊

I'm so glad you liked it! The story does continue (kind of) about 20-something years in the future in the Fateborne Trilogy. You'll see a couple of familiar characters, but the story has two new main characters and a totally different angle. Books 1 and 2 are available now as ebooks, and I'm working to finish writing book 3 and getting everything made into audio. So hold tight- it will be coming soon!

It’s so incredibly sickening to see people say ridiculous things like “ clean” book. Do you know that ALL words are simply a collection of letters, the meaning is in YOUR mind. It’s in your mind where resides the nastiness, not in a word.
@arcolbertАй бұрын
I totally get where you're coming from, and I wish there was a different way to describe books without spice and curse words that would still be marketable. But unfortunately, "clean" is the term the industry uses. As an author, I have to use the term if I want to be found by the readers/listeners who want that kind of content. And I think it's important to set expectations for those who may be looking for something a little darker/spicier as well. But I'm with you- I'd love to see some other kind of rating system adopted by the industry as a whole!

I didn't even realize it was a "clean" book, just how awesome it is so far. I'm excited regardless if some one calls it clean or dirty lol bc I've been looking for another great audiobook and have finally found it! I'm hooked. It was written great, and read great, it's got me hooked ❤ although I like spice haha, it's got my attention and I like it a lot so far regardless!@@jennifermcdonald5432

Enjoyable, fantasy. The characters were likeable, the adventure was fun. A quick light read/listen. I wish it was a bit more original, maybe a different power than shadows? It's a great clean replacement for Acor. I'll definitely read more from this author.

Spoilers; Better than a lot of more well known books but there are few small things I personally dont like. The journey would have been a thousand times easier without her. There could have been more of a reason for her to go, especially sailing to his land. At the end the tears of a broken heart thing came out of nowhere. They have all these captives who's family's are taken away, but there aren't any broken hearts other than a teen who likes a guy for a week or two.😅 It needed more detail at the conclusion. I like that she wasn't a a skilled fighter with no training, like in some stories. She is just brave and kind. The creatures they encounter were memorable. I think perspective change would have made this story perfect.
