i saw him perform the is song in 74 in the Savannah. I was four. They brought him on stage in a van two orderlies got him out of the back. He was dressed head to toe in black and wearing a straight jacket. they lead him to the middle of the stage and he would sing only bouncing on his toes. i almost fainted when he looked at me lol but we came to see Shadow sing. When the song was done the orderlies strapped him back into the straight jacket and shuffled back into the van and backed off the stage. Needles to say I didn't sleep that night .LOl

This man music is unique, different and very sweet. No doubt he's a calypso genius. In a calypso composition we're lucky if the artist give us great lyrics or great melodic rhythms , in all of the mighty shadow songs ,he always gives us both . He has the shadow style of music that's distinct and instantly recognizable as his own. His master pieces are learning materials and musical treasure troves, simply put,his contribution to mankind showing that he was here for a reason. May he R.I.P.
