The only thing i want sega to do is have it to where characters dont lose there speed when they boost jump it throws me off alot and its something that you can turn off in frontiers so i feel it wouldnt be to difficult idk

Problem is that it can break the level design. I like breaking levels as much as the next guy, but it's a necessary evil imo. Maybe not as *much* as frontiers and shadow gens has, but still, air drag has to be a thing

It was wayy to broken Loosing speed after boost jumps is in almost every boost game including Generations you couldn’t maintain it the entire time It’s to stop people from jumping over the levels

@@RaiginAnimator this isn't what I mean what I mean is when you jump it doesn't feel like you lose all the speed you had before for example in sunset heights act 1 In Shadow gens the Giant robot rock throwing section has an area where you have to jump over spikes and you can't not jump but when you jump it expecially for me feels like I lost all my speed just jumping it's kinda stiff if that makes sense hopefully that makes sense

@@RaiginAnimator Losing speed from a jump has always been a thing in most of the games, but the key difference is that in the 2D ones you still get to keep all your momentum while the 3D games put you in their own air speed cap and the deceleration varies a lot between them. In SA1, SA2, Generations, Unleashed, Colors and even Forces it's smooth but in Lost World, Frontiers and Shadow Gens it's instant

Sonic adventure had somethimg close to an open world, same with adventure 2 and sonic 06, so an open world in sonic is not that new, the breathtaking bosses there was a base with perfect chaos and the biolizard, all they needed is harder music to go with (and were talking about harder than open your heart and live and learn), the only "new thing" about frontiers are the enemies to beat across the map and not only in the levels, im not going to neglect that shadow generations takes those concepts and magnifies them, but again, nothing so new about the concepts, (i aint talking about cyberspace levels cuz they are a slap of old levels with paper tape)

ngl is it just me or does the game feel the same when I use shadow gens physics, especially on the big cyberspace stages? i played the shadow gens eternal highway mod stages, then immediately played the sonic frontier versions of the stages and 3D wise, the only real difference is the slow platforming feels better in shadow gens and he seems less floaty and light overall

Shadow Generations gameplay is better than the default frontiers engine from what i can tell, but it seems everyone likes the unleashed engine better (sonic generations)
