samuel aquino Actually From the New World is the 4th game in this franchise. There is actually a game before Shadow Hearts that takes place in the same universe(it's called "Koudelka"), It's much more serious than the rest of them but not in a bad(boring) way. And it has the best unironic voice acting in any PS1 game ever made. I couldnt recommend the game more especially if you have played the other ones. The only problem is , the battle system isnt too great but most of it comes down to slow loading. The closest game to a "sequel" you get is a little, no budget, Japan only game called "Arms Heart" altho while the story seems interesting it looks like a low budget GBA game. The director of those games worked on it and It does for some reason feature Roger Bacon, It's not the name they use (maybe) but he's Roger Bacon alright. I can only imagine enjoying this game if you know Japanese TBH. There is also "Lost Odyssey" which had allot of people from this company working on it ( the cover says"from the makers of Final Fantasy" but it forgets to mention "and also Shadow Hearts serie"). It features some gameplay elements but I cant say more I havent played it yet(Have the game but not an Xbox 360 to play it on). There is also Legend of Dragoon which apparently had them working on it too (before they joined Sacnoth/Nautilus). It's a fantastic game on it's own and it's essentially the precursor to the gameplay ideas of Shadow Hearts. It also has allot of great tribal music in it, almost seems like it was them that brought that trend to the franchise after Koudelka. A great recommendation for any RPG fan really. The only thing to look out for is that the game doesnt run correctly on anything that isnt a PS1( if you play it on the PS2 or the original disc on the PS3 the game has allot of issues) The PSN version is the best bet (it works correctly and it's very cheap)

The final boss lady for this game was way harder than the Kato from the second game.

The Awaker's Malice sabre pierced Lady's chest, and her eyes suddenly drained of their red coloring. She coughed before lifting her head and staring into her assailants face. Her pupils went wide, and a smile crept onto her face. "J-Johnny...? Is... that you...?" Awaker paused, and reverted to his human self. Johnny pulled his sabre away and grasped Lady's... no, Grace's, shoulders, hugging her. "Grace... I'm here. I'm okay..." His sister coughed up blood and shakingly raised her hand to his cheek, chuckling. "You've... gotten so... handsome..." She gazed at his companions, nodding. "Met... so many wonderful people..." Another cough, and her body cringed. Johnny panicked, using all of his stellar healing magic to try and stabilize her. But it was to no avail. Shaking her head, she placed a hand on Johnny's Liberty Ghost jacket, tears flowing from her eyes. "Thank you... for stopping me. I'm glad... I got to spend my final moments as myself... and with you..." Her frame went limp, and Grace Garland expired. Her body evaporated into tiny specks of malice-tinted will orbs, and Johnny took one into his hands, wiping a tear from his eye. "...Goodbye... Grace..."

ラスボス戦のみに聴けるBGMです。マリスアンブラル&レディ戦での要注意すべき点はコンボ攻撃が使用不可な事と更に補助能力は使用した瞬間にロストプログラムで消されてしまう為補助能力は使用不可でレディに直接ダメージを与える事も不可です。レディがキュアを使用した後に仕掛けて来るエナジーチャージ後は全員ガードして下さい。まともにくらうと約900のダメージを受けてしまいます(最悪GAME OVERとなってしまいます)温存しておいた鍵を使用してしまうのも良いですが無理は禁物です。【説明文長くてスミマセン(_ _;)】

Lady was enough of a bitch with 1 phase, that last desperated attack of hers screwed me up so much.. But it makes sense, she used all her strength to create the umbral malice, so she was empty after that

Well she was malice infused along with a good deal stronger. Though in terms of coolness factor Kato is definitely the cooler one. He also had a completely unique theme. That said i also don't think Kato was trying his damndest. Yuri was the only one who understood him, having both lost their loves. At that point in the game i think it was Kato was too far gone in his plan and knew it. Lady doesn't recognize anyone as a friend only finding solace in Killer. Which honestly as strong as Johnny and Lady were... ( Hell even Nicholai was able to manipulate malice in his claws as AstaroNicholai , you'd think they'd be able as well , along with retaining their sanity, but hey then no game plot, ) .But in Kato's despair he decided to rewrite the past for a better future and Yuri knew that even if they were able it wouldn't last. But then again both endings to Shadow Hearts 1 is canon.

@@Zarryon12 I agree kato is a much cooler character. Shadow hearts and shadow hearts covenant are my two favorite's in the series. I haven't played koudelka yet.

As a final boss, yeah, it's not even close. I just replayed the whole Shadow Hearts trilogy, doing as many side quests as possible in each game. Kato was pretty much a joke at that point since I was so overpowered, but Lady was still a decent challenge, even after doing Purgatory.

@@Terithian the game mechanics in shadow hearts covenant made the bosses overall weaker than the first and third game. None of the bosses were ever even a challenge besides king Solomon and the extra boss in the directors cut. The lack of phases for a final boss was disappointing.

具体的に言いますとレディが強いのでは無くマリスアンブラルが強いのです。マリスアンブラルのHPは8600レディのHPは2500です。因みにマリスアンブラルが消滅してしまうとレディのHPに関係なく一撃でレディを倒す事が出来ますので事実上強いのは【マリスアンブラル】です。因みにレディの本当の名は(グレースガーランド)です。
