Album of the year, no doubt. I knew it would be good, but god DAMN.

Still watching reaction videos of SOI and hearing their songs. They are insanely good. It's brutally beautiful.

I'm on like 20-30ish repeats of whole album and i didn't find a single bad thing, not even one. Even better, every listen i pick up on new little things they did and I'm blown away even more. A lot of different genres mixed in but it's so damn well done, mixing is also great imo, everything works great, i hear an actual song, not like vocals + instrumental part or the other way around. Call me biased or whatever you want but every part, from writing, performing to mixing is phenomenal for me, 10/10, AOTY for sure. It's one of those albums that brings you tears of joy. I was debating which one will be AOTY for me, between AngelMaker, SoI and Lorna Shore but now I'm damn sure it's SoI, even though Lorna Shore is not out yet. Not to take away anything from those bands and the rest that came out or is coming out this year but SoI set the bar high, i mean really high. The variety they bring in this record is unreal. Each song hits you with something different, something new, yet at the same time captures SoI sound very well, truly work of art.

Wait until you hear the 10 minute instrumental track The Dreaded Mystic Abyss. It's ungodly.

My favorite song on the album. At first it was gravesinger. Then Barron and breathless. But when dreaded mystic abyss came on, I was like THIS is my song

The album is by far the album of the year. And that's saying a lot because the carnifex and slipknot albums were both so great. But The new Shadow of intent album is mind blowing

You guys are not going to be disappointed by this album. You are in for one hell of an epic ride. Plus the keyboardist of Fleshgod Apocalypse was involved in the production which is why the orchestral elements sound more organic than what they did on Reclaimer.
@ShadowPKMNTrainer75 жыл бұрын
Melancholy is such a damn good album, can't wait to hear what you guys think of it. Their last album Reclaimer is one of my favorite deathcore albums ever, and this one has passed it up.

You will not be disappointed with this masterpiece of an album. That's for sure. You guys had the same facial reactions that I did listening to this song. The blackened elements in the album are well implemented

When Shadow of Intent released “Barren and Breathless Macrocosm”, i thought “well, this is the best music of the year”. But, when they released “Malediction” i change my opinion and say “ No! This is the fucking best song of the year!!”. And now they released these brutal song and i can't say this is the best song of the year because probably they will release a better single yet.

Best deep cut definitely has to be "Dirge of the Void." Absolutely amazing track.

Great song! I was listening to some of the other tracks off the new album, I really liked those as well. Definitely feel the Dimmu Borgir vibes here, and that's a great thing!! 🤘🤘

I listened to the album for the first time, last night. This album is freaking amazing. Never heard of this band until malediction came out. The guitars and drums are freaking NASTY! The vocals are freaking insane.
