14:30 Funny thing about humans in Middle Earth, they are unbound from fate, they make their own destinies. Elves, on the other hand, are bound by destiny. Sauron is a Maiar, one of the beings that controls the foundations of the world, a mid tiered and fallen one, but a Maiar all the same. So yeah, when Calebrimbor switched away to an elven host, he had already lost.

@KaiserAfini6 жыл бұрын
Marcus Nope, they have The Gift of Man as well, according to the Silmarilion. Dwarves because they are the adopted kids of Illuvatar. No one is sure where Hobbits came from, but they are mortal. Its a package deal, freedom from fate, mortality and a mysterious post death destiny Illuvatar has for them, one so glorious as to make the Maiar and Valar (who are pretty much demigods) envy them.
@NagandEmerald6 жыл бұрын
Marcus Dwarves, yes. Hobbits, not so much. Hobbits weren’t too terribly elaborated on in that sense, but I personally believe that they were simply another group of Men with a *VERY* different understanding of the world. The dwarves, on the other hand, were the creations of one of the Valar (can’t remember his name for shit, but he also taught Sauron before he went edge and joined Morgoth), so their fates are tied, to an extent, to the fate of Middle Earth, and that of the Valar and Maiar (once again, to an extent)

There's actually a reason as to why the One Ring slipped off Isildurs hand. It is canonically stated that rings of power have minds of their own. So the One Ring deemed it a good time to leave Isildur as to one day go back to Sauron. Which as we've seen from the books and movies, came very close in doing so. Also as a side note I do hope you continue playing this game for awhile after you have beaten it like you did Shadow of Mordor. I always find it enjoyable for you to find ways to continue to make fun in this series and now with more to do than SoM the fun can go on longer.

That got me thinking,if Isildur (in that canon of course) clenched his fist and like glue it or wrap a bandate on entire fist,would he keep the ring till his death?I mean,the Ring wouldn't have the way to slip of it....
@vampireluigi276 жыл бұрын
Victor Yarn I think it mainly came down to lack of insight. Cause you figure the rings give its wearer great amounts of power. So with that feeling that nothing could stop you why would you feel the need to take precautions? I mean we saw this with even Sauron where he thought there would be no way the ring would leave him but even he didn't consider someone severing his finger off. Because the feeling of thinking you are unstoppable clouded any form of potential precautions.

When Brett saw Isildur's fate, he didn't think Talion was actually going to subject himself to that same fate. He definitely wants to join the Nine, just not in the way that the game presents: Willingly joining rather than unwillingly joining by circumstance. That's why Brett said 'Are you insane?!', Talion could've died and finally put himself to rest right then and there, and yet he didn't, which Brett is questioning Talion about.

celebrimbor is a wraith, wraiths are always evil, or at least only have evil intentions, because they were made from the rage and grief they had in life. in the bright lord DLC we see celebrimbor using the one ring to fight sauron and becoming more and more corrupted because of that. this, is what this wraith really is, the part of celebrimbor that was corrupted and twisted by the one ring. the real celebrimbor is dead, this is his shadow, and he will use and discard people if he so feels like it. remember talion wanted to die on the first game, but celebrimbor lied that they were bound together by a curse, when he could release him anytime he wanted, he said he didnt had any memories from the time he was alive, also lies. he was always a villain

also, everyone, exept the hammer in the first game, all of the villains call celebrimbor being a bad guy, the tower, the black hand, shelob even says talion is a puppet for celebrimbor. even the damn nazguls keep telling talion to let them get rid of celebrimbor so he can become one of them. ironically,, the most evil beings in middle earth were the the only ones that (kinda) cared for talion. shelob even gave him 2-3 half hugs during the game, i dont remember celebrimbor being that caring. the witch king himself called talion brother for pete sake! when did celebrimbor ever called talion brother? i say he must embrace his brotherhood of souless killing machines and be happy

That's because in this case, what he perceived as the "Good side", abandoned him, and *became* the second "Bad side". Joining the original bad side would make no sense at this point because Talion still wants to prevent Sauron (and now Celebrimbor) from conquering the rest of the innocent world. Okay. Brett. I am legitimately going to offer advice for the Shadow Wars. This is where most of the gameplay length is because it has as much grinding as an MMO achievement list. I'm going to make this in a list style so it is easier to read and to even copy paste wherever because the pain I felt can surely be mitigated by helping others. 1. Leveling. Now this is a tad "duh" marker but it is the most important one by tell. The Shadow Wars are a series of 10 Fortress Stages. You begin by having each fortress be attacked and you and your army are defending it. I will go more into detail about Fortress battles later. The important thing to talk about now is getting to level 60. Something I will abuse if I do ever start a new playthrough is to always use a Double XP for every single story mission. Starting sooner helps a lot but I didn't really start using them until shortly before starting Act III. I was anywhere between 48-51 at completion and starting Shadow Wars. The skills you get are not important because by now you have everything you want. What is important is getting every Uruk you have to your current level and to the end goal of 60. Level 60 is when your Uruks are at their strongest and during the final stages when you will be facing upwards of Level 64... you need the help. Each main mission completed gives an insane amount of XP, almost a level up regardless of level for the later ones. But, using a double XP for these gives even more and alleviates the grind and pain later. 2. Fortress. The fortress is what can make or break your sanity. If it is easy to break into then the battle is already loss. You will want to upgrade each and EVERY fortress to the highest level, which costs Mirian and completing the Champion Level Fight Pit. Each upgrade to the Fortress proper allows you to allocate another Orc to be a Warchief, up to a total of 6 Warchiefs. What each Warchief does for the fort itself is allow that level of upgrades to be applied to the fort via the Siege Menu. The Overlord himself, whose level is indeed irrelevant so have whoever you enjoy, allows the upgrades of your Fortress Walls. There are three types of walls but the only ones you will be needing are the Metal Walls. They provide the absolute most defense and in some cases can entirely prevent invaders from breaching. The first Warchief is in charge of door and wall defense. The outer walls can be used to poison or set aflame ologs trying to batter the walls or to reinforce the standard wood gates with iron. Pick Iron. Always. The second Warchief is in charge of what grunt troops will be present at the defense. The choices are savages, defenders or hunters. All are good choices but my favorite are the hunters. They stay away from enemy warchiefs and whittle their health away with spears. Plus you can semi safely drain them for health as they will be a distance away. The third warchief is in charge of the siege beasts. Siege beasts are pretty useless honestly. The first one is fire which targets enemy troops to set aflame. The second targets the enemies siege beats with poison to eliminate them. The third is curse which targets enemy captains. You could use them strategically but if you pick the poison one you will be fine. The fourth warchief is in charge of beasts, specifically which one shall wander the fortress. You can have a graug, caragors, the absolute best one, the caged dragon at the gates of the fortress. The dragon will breathe flames through the gate and roast incoming attackers. As long as an enemy does not have an immunity or rage to fire they will be burned or stunned, thus preventing them from attacking the gate. The fifth warchief is in charge of archers and spiked walls. Completely ignore the archers and picked the spiked walls. This completely prevents all troops from scaling the walls and forcing them to try to break them down or to use the front gate, where they will be roasted. Note. You can personally climb up the walls by going to the corner towers of the fortress by the main gate and proceeding to climb like normal. Only you can climb these structures. The six and final warchief is a bit lame and litters the battlefield with either fire or poison mines. Prior to a siege defense you can see the weaknesses of the invaders. Just pick the one that has the least immunities and enrages to it honestly. Both are helpful. 3. Leveling Orcs and Warchiefs. This is where Number 1 comes into play. No dominated Orc can be a higher level than you. So the higher your level, the higher theirs will be, the stronger they will be. You can take the extremely long way and level each, and every, single, orc, through a long chain of agonizing missions. Or you simply die for boredom and throw them into pit fights. Pit Fights are a reliable way of leveling orcs and getting loot which can be used to fund your fortress upgrades by getting Mirian. An important note is if your guy is losing, you can quit out of the game and reload it to restart the fight and keep the orc you worked so hard on alive. This is a useful cheese to get the Champion Level completed to get your final warchief also. Sadly this is an extremely boring way as it takes multiple wins to get them up tp level. It's best to do this in the background while you are watching a podcast or something. Something that is enough to keep your mind busy enough to where you can quit if need be. Note: You cannot send a Warchief to the pits. You will need to promote another captain to warchief to take their place while you level them. Warchiefs are the only ones present during a siege. You will want them to be your best fighters. You can hunt for specific classes of Uruks, essentially cheese the fort by having all ologs, or just find your personal favorite fighters. Tanks, Beserkers, and Defenders are always a safe bet. Beastmasters and Assassins can be devastating. But in the end it is up to you. Their mighty and legendary traits can be devasting if they are Heroic or Legendary. A high health, high damage, rampage berserker with more enrages than you can count can decimate an entire invading army single handedly. You can also assign bodyguards to warchiefs to further bolster your numbers. 4. Recruiting. Inevitable you will need to recruit uruks to your fortress. There are three ways to go about this. The ol' fashion way and finding them. Using your hundreds of thousands of Mirian to buy Uruks that are close to your level, or sacrifice week orcs in the Champion Fight Pits to get a high level, greatly powerful Uruk to recruit. All of these are acceptable and I've used them all. Hell. The Uruks that I got for pre ordering the game are still with me. 5.Defending a Fortress. Defending a Fortress is like attacking one but with a few extra twists. Each time the enemy captures a point ANOTHER watchief enters the fray that you must eliminate. This means not only are you trying to dispatch some of the toughest warchiefs and their bodyguards, you are trying to prevent them from getting reinforcements. This can be stressful but just try to isolate each warchief to the best of your ability. Hoped you honed and mastered your fighting prowess.You can cheese Warchiefs and their bodyguards by shaming them instead of killing them. A lot of tanks will be present in sieges and their Death Defying trait can become a hassle if you are ill prepared. Also letting your own warchiefs get the killing blows is a smart choice. 6. Failure. If you fail to defend the fort then you must then begin a Fort Assault to take it back. Just because of how long the Shadows Wars are already, avoid losing to the best of your ability. Attacking a fort will always be easier than defending one but it's not something you want to do on purpose. After the Fort Assault that mission will be complete. You do not then need to defend it. 7. Stages. There are ten stages of hell that are the Shadow Wars. The first four are easy then it becomes repetitive. The first four stages are defending each of the four fortresses in the game. Then the stages will be adding two defensives per stage. Then three. Then ultimately four. It's mentally draining defending the same fortresses multiple times and constantly having to relevel all of your Orcs again after stages. 8. Summoning. Spiders, Graugs, Dire Caragors, Dragons, Grunts, and Bodyguards. These are all helpful for a Fort Defense. Whether you are trying to exploit weaknesses, killing mass amounts of grunts, or even just summoning a bodyguard to ease the pressure off you. Summoning is an invaluable tool and something you should rightfully abuse. 9. Gear. Another simple one but invaluable nonetheless. You want your gear to synchronize with your build as best as possible and to have it as the highest level you can. Being able to regain all health on a stealth kill or being able to drain orcs faster is invaluable. And that is really all the advice I have. Hopefully it helps and man, you got a long road ahead of you.

Honestly i dont think he needs advice, the shadow wars were long, but not really hard. My captains were often lower level then the enemy but it still never got very difficult, think I lost once the whole time.

Just gonna make one little addendum to this list, though it is quite good. The metal walls, while good, are not the only viable option. I've found that _WOODEN WALLS_ coupled with a bunch of fire stuff is surprisingly effective.
@BlakeBelladonnaTucAndRoll6 жыл бұрын
Beef Patrol Mm. Interesting. I'm guessing how wooden walls work is that they can be set ablaze so, while damaging the integrity, adds a fire DOT to the enemies near, or even scaling it. If that is how that works then that is interesting.

Side note: The starting base gear you had since the beginning, has changed. Even the descriptions state that I they are fleeting remnants of a forgotten past bathed in darkness. No joke, the armour of Talion's old life, the cloak of his wife made, the broken sword of his son and even his own blade. All suddenly changed in a more depressing way, Talion as we knew is gone. All hail our new Nazgul Overload Talion.
@dean45466 жыл бұрын
Iron Gates, Hellfire, and Iron Spikes are op when put together for defense sieges. Look at the enemies weakness to fire or poison and choose accordingly for mines and the siege beast. That should smooth it along pretty decently. Another tip is that if you want to change the Overlord, select him first then choose where you want to reposition him. Not the other way around. I hope you enjoy the true ending. As always good job and thanks for continuing this series.

BitCoin has strayed so far from the creator's intention. Also, the GeForce partnerships reeks of attempted Monopoly. I don't care about the fact that Brett took the sponsorship, and Nvidia makes great cards but the business Nvidia has had way too much of a dirt streak.
@exol5116 жыл бұрын
Prices are dropping already since mining in countries like UK and Australia (examples) is becoming expensive. Soon the used market will be flooded with used GPUs and also you can already buy cards since stocks are now stable online (amazon for example).
@yargolocus48536 жыл бұрын
HaloLoreNerd are they? Sure, it is the most abusive way to use a gpu but does it really even then deteriorate.
@exol5116 жыл бұрын
Actually no, the NEW stocks are coming back since miners do not buy them up as soon as they are available, since as I said the mining craze is dying down so you can now actually buy a GPU, not just order it for when its on stock. The only thing used up in a crypto rig is usually the fans that can be replaced for like 15$. Most miners will watch their temps and undervolt the GPU to save electricity so no they are not scorched, or even close to their normal operating temps. The lifetime of the GPU is can be easily measured by warranty that is like 1-2 years that means the manufacturer is sure the GPU can be used at 100% load without dying in that time and miners will not do that since its not efficient, so the card still has a lot of use left in it. Consider what kills most electrical components is HEAT not time.

I just want to thank you Bret for this series and Shadow of Mordor. It really helped me in a bad spot. 3 years ago I got diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis and was really sick. I still re-watch them to this day and though I’m having relapse now, Shadow of War vids has helped me laugh through it treatment. I really hope you continue this series with all the dlc and replay for all the shits and giggles. Thanks man.

Ok, here is your best defence for your forts. First, do the Fight Pit challenges in each area until you unlock your additional Warchief slot. You may need to do some recruiting to do it. Also if you have anything to decrease the amount of damage your followers take, equip it, that includes putting a green gem in your ring slot. Then make your highest level guys warchiefs. Then purchase the following upgrades. Metal Walls Iron Gates Hunter Host Cursed Siege Beast Hellfire Spiked Walls And Poison Mines. This will keep all of the enemies outside and taking lots of damage since I have not met an orc Immune to Poison, Curse, and Flames all at the same time. Also recrute the attackers when you can to make your army stronger for the next invasion. Also sell extra gear for the money, you'll need a lot of it and if you end up with extra, used it to buy some chests at the Headhunter to make you or your men stronger. If all goes well, you'll never lose another fort again. P.S. To make your army stronger, equip your highest level white gem to your ring slot when you're out recruiting. Doing so will make the guy's level increase upon recruitment equal to the level in the gem. And if by some means you do lose a fort, save your Overlord should be step one. Step two, make your army infiltrate the warchiefs until all are betrayal missions and then do said missions. Step three, make your now more powerful men infiltrate the fort until all spots are infiltrated. Step four, claim the fort with the initial attack will just be walking up and taking the points . Step fivem kill or recruit the overlord and the fort is your's again.

Yeah basically does serve Middle Earth Satan. Melkor, the strongest of the Valar, taking the name Morgoth. However he was defeated long ago, though he's suppose to return during the big final war of the middle earth universe. But yeah, Melkor, is the equivalent to Satan, While the Balrog, and Sauron are basically his fallen angels. Sauron was never even close to Melkor in strength however, only being a maiar. (Think normal angel compared to Arch Angel.) Melkor also created, or at least twisted something into, Dragons.

GamerBro 1928 I honestly don't remember. If so, there is much more to laugh at in the game. He mentioned while streaming that the reason he stopped doing that series was because people weren't interested in it and the views were very low.
