Even though he was unable to free himself from endless torment, even though his family was killed, even though nobody truly supported him, even though he was doing all the work with practically no real payoff, even though he was betrayed by the only 2 other people by his side, he still fought back against evil. Even if Talion ultimately fell to the darkness, he was still a good man, a good husband, a good father, a good soldier, and a hero to the land of Middle-earth. This is no fate for any man.
@FluffyFrigginFox3 жыл бұрын
Finally someone with some common sense. Talion is a true hero in every sense of the word. He sacrificed his very own freedom knowing he would eventually fall to the ring. He held off evil for decades even though the ring was consuming him. He did not succumb to the ring right away like everyone else had. He bought time for middle earth to gather heroes to destroy the one ring all the while uncertain if any heroes would come to take his place to save all of Middle Earth.

I will forever hate this DLC for one simple reason, not because of problems with the lore, or even killing the main character...no it's because throughout the entire DLC not ONCE did she even say sorry for her betrayal, and the reason she did it (having the ability to dominate) she immediately decides that she won't use, thereby making Talion's sacrifice POINTLESS. @absolplayz8773 Жыл бұрын
@jonahfalcon1970 the hell you bringing isildur into this? This has nothing to do with isildur minus his ring. And the only reason talion has isildur's ring is....wait for it. Because eltariel and celebrimbor betrayed him. By which he was left with 2 choices. Either die and let sauron or celebrimbor take over middle earth. Or put the ring on and hold back the forces. You put on the ring and it corrupts you. The rate of corruption is dependent on the person's will and their resistance. It took talion 80 years to be corrupted by the ring fully. 80 years. But you know what started him down the path of this corruption. Eltariel who for all her worth. All the stuff she spat on about how celebrimbor is evil and that the new ring should be destroyed, takes the ring for herself to finish sauron and leaving the man who has fought a war damn near single handedly to die. And then this broken man. Who wants the war to be over. To just die in his home land. Has to hear from this person who betrayed him, who still wears the ring SHE said was evil, who left hom to die despite his helping her stop the nazgul, and he has to hear about how he's not alone. Again, 80 years of being alone and fighting a war and she says "nah fam, I know I betrayed you but I'm still your homie" I would have snapped like talion too.

This ending says everything. When Talion died the place he was walking toward looked more like the Grey Havens to me. I believe that Talion will be resurrected in a third installment of the game that will take place immidiately after he was killed by the explosion of Mount Doom. His task will be to destroy Celebrimbor and the new ring once and for all; bringing about the dominion of men. He will do this to earn forgivness for having become a Nazgul and will be given one of the elven rings of power to do the task. When its all said and done he will go to the Grey Haven, like we saw at the end of "Shadow of War", and depart into the west as a hero and finally be able to rest.

I think that Monolith is done with this series. Maybe they will a make a sequel campaign in the form of Eltariel fighting Celebrimbor, but they're done making games. Also, if they did make another game then I think it will not be about Talion. Not only would this make sense from a storyline standpoint, but there's just no evidence for it. Why would Talion be resurrected? Not because he was a Nazgul because of the reason he became a Nazgul. He gave himself (willingly) over to Sauron just to protect Middle-Earth from the Bright/Dark lord. If anything, he'd b welcomed with cheers wherever it is that he's going, be it the Gray Havens or Mandos' hall.
@09stoneheart7 жыл бұрын
The pass may not be like the Grey Havens as it described in the books, but the developers may be trying to base it on Peter Jackson's depiction. Not to mention there is a moutain range behind Talion, not the sea, as he is walking towards the pass and the Peori mountains should be in front of him if was in Aman going to the halls of Mandos. Also, the last scene with Eltariel shows her as being "called" by Celebrimbor to serve him after having worn his ring for so long. So its unlikely she will oppose him. Especially since we didn't really see her denounce him in the dlc. And defeating Celebrimbor and destoying the new ring may also just be a way for Talion to regain the humanity he lost when Isildur's ring corrupted him. So he can depart into the west as the man he was and not what he became. We will just have to see what they have in mind.

well in the true ending it does say that Talion was finally able to be freed from the darkness and you see him throwing away his weapons and armor as he heads into what looks like gondor, i guess it means that he is reunited with his family in death and that after decades and decades of fighting(half of them fighting the dark lord's armies, other half when he finally succumbs to the ring's power and becomes a nazghul) he is finally at peace. I think the game and story could use a new protagonist along with new mission system(make orc armies and conquer orc fortresses gets boring quick, for me at least) also to allow them to explore more of the world of LOTR, i think it would be amazing to see new races, areas outside of mordor and just let the story advance in general instead of pretty much repeat what the previous two games did.

You're missing the point of the story. They made the dlc story to SHOW you how power corrupts you. It corrupted Talion, yes, but the whole point was that at the end, she became a slave to celebrimbor, that’s why she ‘heeded the call’. It just reinforces the point of the main game (and also Lord of the Rings), that anyone can cave to power and the cost of their morals and principles. I like the dlc because it actually makes Etharial an example of this , as she took the ‘moral high ground’ in the main game, claiming that power simply needed to be destroyed, yet now she wields the ring and follows celebrimbor, even after the dark lord is gone. The ending of the dlc is MEANT to show how everyone is flawed when the rings are involved, because she doesn’t even follow her own rules. Hence why Talion gets mad at her and the darkness takes over.

Idea for a third shadow game: Many many years later after return of the king, some remnant orc tribes are still alive and notably among them is Zog the Eternal. He and many powerful undead orcs, much more powerful than normal undead orcs are in the middle of a dark ritual. You play as an orc that you can fully design and choose the tribe. Your orc Is sent on a mission to interrupt this meeting and kill the cultists with some other warriros, but Zog defeats and captures you and the others, sacrificing them in the process. as part of the ritual, dark magic attempts to retrieve a creature from death, but due to your presence, it goes wrong and retrieves the wrong soul form the afterlife. the green wraith form of talion, pulled from death is brought out and put into the body of the orc. You both go on the quest to kill Zog and let Talion go back to the afterlife. As you go through the story though, you see hints at Dog's plan, and you raise an army to attack his hidden base, but realize it not a camp, but a huge fortress. Zog has been building strength to restore the power of orcs in middle earth again, and his end goal, to raise Morgoth from death once again. You would ally with elves, dwarves, men, and your own army of orcs, some few captains that survived after gallon became nazgul. It would directly transfer your own orcs from shadow of war to this new game. The game would end with a final fight between you, and 1 orc, 1 elf, 1 dwarf and 1 man fighting zog, but right before Zog dies, he whispers see you soon, and says the final phrase to complete the ritual and raise Morgoth. It would end on a cliffhanger and hint at one final game where morgoth returns. This game would be called Shadow of Doom, or Shadow of Middle Earth. It would include all the tribes, animals, abilities and stuff from SOW, but also have new weapons, orcs, tribes, human elf and dwarf followers, mechanics and creatures, including a dragon that you fight, dominate and ride as part of another main storyline. Does anyone have anymore ideas of what would be in this third game?

I loved the part where she sees his past and finally understands what she actually did by betraying Talion like she did. Talion was a great character, he had a great development throughout the games, he saw through Celebrimbor and to the very end tried to do the right thing, and fought to buy the heroes time even if noone would ever know he even existed. He was a character worthy of this franchise. I get the gist that they planned to make a sequel to this game featuring Eltariel and Celebrimbor but really, without Talion it just wouldn't be the same. I kind of want a Battle For Middle Earth 3 now, and Talion definitely gotta be a playable hero character.

hear me out in the 3rd one you choose a side orc talion or celebrimbor and each one causes different endings if you win r dont win if you die as talion then the bright lord wins and everyone is enslaved if talion wins he turns on saouron or whatever idk what happens when he wins if orcs win then well it should be ratbag and ranger if you play as eltariel well its the same as talion like if you lose he wins if yyou win he loses

They really should make a game or something with Baranor and Eltariel’s stories being continued: Eltariel confronting the false Bright Lord and Baranor conquering territory with his mercenary brother and army, and I just realized The New Ring was the only Ring of Power to still have its power after Sauron’s death because it was the only ring free from his influence

Talion didn't die here. He spent couple decades in preparation, leading up to the war, prior to this fight with Eltariel. After the fight, he fled and became a true Nazgul. He then spent a further few decades searching for the fellowship whem he joined the nine. Eltariel returned during the decades to fight the Nazgul. Later on the ring was destroyed and Sauron waa defeated. Just as this happems, Celebrimbor is also freed. Whether she will unite with him, who knows...

Wait if talions still fighting sauron’s armys after this fight, why is he saying so many things that make it sound like he’s obeying saurons will now?

This DLC fills in the hole after Finishing the Shadow war. The event right before he becomes a Nazgûl. He just comes back and becomes more black.

Real question... Does anyone care for her to be a main character in the next game? If I see a lot of no's then why would the developers make up there minds prematurely to make a 3rd game about her.... do we really need wasted resources? Rather a different game or the point of view of a new character in the same universe.

Imagine if a nazgul comes over at the moment Eltariel prepares to land the final blow, instantly locked her down in a "blood brother revenge". Nazgul: Tailon of Gondddooorrr, it is no time to fall herrreeeeee. If witch king is rescuer: Brotherrr, yyoouu besstted us in ccoommmbattt, take controlll of yourseelfff. Tailon then proceed to enter second phase and takes things more seriously, counters all frontal attacks(including executions), uses drains to reduce your wrath, punch you when you are knocked on the ground, unloads his quiver of arrows after jumping off your back and uses pin/shadow strike when you are escaping to heal, in addition to all other abilities a player would use. It became so difficult that game critics would see this dlc as almost unbeatable uneven in easy difficulty, and cement this fight as one of the most legendary fight in all gaming histroy. And monolith would released a game patch a few days later reducing difficulty of the final fight in easy difficulty.
@P..................2 жыл бұрын
If the Witch King is the rescuer, all the Nazghuls could also come back. And you'd have to beat them all + Witch King at once, and to make things harder, Witch King could probably stab you after doing the "Blood Brother Revenge" And take 45% of the Player's health

There’s no way in hell that petty blonde was able to defeat Talion. Especially the one we see in this DLC
@chasehervey23843 жыл бұрын
Seriously, it took her three hours to do a front flip, and she never used Celebrimbor's ring. Plus, I remember when Talion fought Suladan, I had to revive her like 6 or 7 times. She should've died in this dlc. Justice for Talion.

@elektra85353 жыл бұрын
@@demochris1786 I think celebrimbor got corrupted by his own ring, also he and talion always argue of what to do, and his limit was when talion kill isildur, he basically changed a friend/commrade for a puppet who's gonna do whatever he wants
