Shadow on the Wall - Mike Oldfield (Vinyl) - Dual DMS 249e cart

Recently i purchased a Dual CS503-1 turntable with standard cartridge DMS249e. Got a new stylus and will do some test-recordings to compare with other cartridges here on youtube so i can upgrade at a later stage. For now i will enjoy my old collection as is...

you are trying to compare apples and oranges with the link to the AT440 recording - his system is just vastly superior to yours and I'm not sure if the AT440 will even fit your Dual Turntable. I would either just get a new stylus for the DMS249e or see if an Ortofon OM10 stylus will fit it - it might, but you should research this online fully.

+See You In Mist Thnx for the reply 1st of all... Question is which cartridge it is in the link, AT 440, AT150 or AT120, never got aan answer to that. Maybe in your opinion it's comparing apples & oranges but i don't think that is true myself. Done quite some research and it strikes me that the differences are not that vast as most want us to believe. For now i found an original stylus which is comparable to the OM5 & OM10, so to go for OM10 would not/hardly be a noticeable upgrade. The Om20 would do fine in my turntable (and is comparable with the newer ortofon blue, the red would be comparable to the om10) & probably will the AT440 as well, but i think i'll stick to ortofon cause the audio technica elements sound rather harsh in my ears... Heard some other cartridges though (shure, grado, stanton to name a few) of which not all will fit in my turntables arm i'm afraid...
