I think with shadows its paramount that you push them to kill range before you ride your first grade 3. In my experience if your opponent is comfortable with taking the first pbd swing then you lose a lot of advantage. Riding blaster dark then going into the macha charon sets up a nice rush to hopefully put them at 3 and add some pressure to the first PBD. This especially important in the Protect matchup as you want to put as much pressure on them as possible before they ride g3 and start generating gifts. Great profile !

Interesting list. I have seen people ditching the Macha + Charon pair due to not being a true CC engine and needing two specific unsearchable cards to function, but part of me is still unsure about dropping them. Atm, my decklist post V-BT04 looks like this: G0 1 Fullbau 6-8 Crit 4 Draw PG 0-2 Draw 4 Heal G1 4 Charon (4 Manibau if I drop him) 4 Swordbreaker 4 Nemain 2 Abyss Router/Gururubau G2 4 Blaster Dark 4 Macha (Will be 3 Cursed Lancer and a Solbau if I drop her) 3 Dark Bond (Remove one for a 2nd Solbau if I go with the above changes) G3 3-4 Gust Blaster 4 Phantom Blaster 0-1 Badhabh Caar

have you though about the grade 2 promo dark pegasus , is work very well with gust blaster dragon, after your attack with gust blaster dragon you must retire 2 so it wil become an 13k booser every turn it makes up for very nice numbers.

Great deck build!! Now I wonder what is speciality of royal paladins bcz I can't quite understand it as now every clan superior calls gains power and every clan has countercharge. New support waves revealed cards are still making no sense except for Kagero and Bermuda . Soon royal paladins I think will become history. Also maybe Bermuda will again kind of become invisible like in g era.

I recently picked up a Shadow Paladin deck...i thought i make a few changes...but i need 2nd opinion on G2 and G1 Grade 3 - 8 4 Gust Blaster Dragon 4 Phantom Blaster Dragon Grade 2 - 12 3 Blaster Dark, 3 Cursed Lancer 3 Darkness Maiden, Macha 2 Dark Bond Trumpeter 1 Tragic Knight, Cathbad Grade 1- 13 4 Black-winged Swordbreaker 4 Skull Witch Nemain 3 Black Sage, Charon 2 Abyss Router Grade 0 - 17 1 Fullbau 3 Darkside Trumpeter 3 Death Feather Eagle 4 Dark Shield, Mac Lir 2 Howl Owl the changes on the G2 i thought about making were taking out Cathbad for 3rd Dark Bond...while G1 taking out the Abyss Router for 2 Blaster Dagger...any suggestions?

Might ad 1/2 instead of Gururbau as you can search them when you need them with Nemain. But overal not really a fan of it because it only works wel against protect as seen as they need to place more then 1 card anyways if they don't PG it. Also there is no indication that, that card will get an english release so don't expect much of it for now but who knows maybe we'll get that one.

So I'm building a SP deck, have a good idea on what I should run for the most part but could use some helpful pointers to make it better to get 3+ crits on Gust's turn(s). Grade 3$: 10 4x PBD 4x Gust 2x Dark Metal Grade 2$: 4x Blaster Dark 4x Sir Lancealot 3x Dark Trumpetor Grade 1$: 4x Skull witch 2x Swordbreaker 2x Painter 4x Apocalypse Bat Grade 0$: 8x Crits 4x Draws 4x heals And a Dougbal I could run more Swordbreakers, tho the Bat skill is interesting and can be reused from painter, soul generally isn't an issue so calling more units from the soul via Bat is nothing to scuff at. On top of that, getting your starter card as a RG booster is nice, giving you more resources for Gust. But with that said, I'm open to other suggestions since I'd like to OTK my opponent with the amount of crits it can build (Worth mentioning this is suppose to be more of a fun deck rather than a competitive build. Also for some reason I used a $ sign when I typed in the grade 3 part, but decided to leave it and use it for the rest since this deck is quite expensive lol).

What do u say about Apocalypse bat ? Also macha+charon was a CB neutralising play and cadbadh could reach 20k+ without using CB for quite an impressive rush. Also i believe solbau+manibau is far better than dark bond trumpeter.

Apocalypse bat is to situational and it pay-off hields not enough maybe when we can abuse it a bit more i might be viable but currently I don't see any space for it. Macha/Charon/Cadbadh are good cards(talk about it in my Alt. Options) the problem with Solbau +manibau is that it takes 2 slots in your deck that is already quite packed. Dark bond is a single card as seen as almost every SP deck is going to run Nemain.

Post VBT04, any thoughts on which among Narukami, Shadow Paladin, and LJ would be the best to use in standard (given a balanced meta as all three types of gifts are still prominently used)?

of those three clans in a overal balanced meta I would go with Narukami. As its bind mechanic deals really well with Protect and other Accel clans. Force might be a thougher battle but binding BB of royals can mean a lot.

@@VanguardInsider I see, thanks for the insights. On the flip side, suppose the meta is infested with Zanbaku / Shirayuki decks; would Shadow Paladin be the better option then or would Narukami still deal with the said deck better?

@@slashend4843 in such a meta I believe Narukami will flourish a little bit better (but both clans can deal really well with the matchup) but Narukami has the added bonus that they can ride into their VR and be live shadows need that extra reride. Also the fact that Narukami has accel circles aswel as rear-guard retire skill makes them a little bit more flexible when the vanguard is locked out for a turn. (where shadow has only 2 attacks and maybe a BD retire skill).

I enjoy the list , however if I can mention one card I recommend feat sword. Another 5k that’s searched out to give trumpeter the power and also be crazy good by self sacking it to give gust a crit. Also I recommend Macha still with Charon the cards pretty free

placement of the markers depends complelty on your approach. if your going for field destruction (PBD) than markers on the rears makes more sense as your overall power output becomes more threathening and you just want to beat over your opponent. But if you go the resources starvation route (GBD) then placing it on the vanguard makes more sense as they need to waste more cards from hand as their PG's are running out.

It all comes down to the type of deck your fighting against. if you shutdown a OTT player on 2 damage they can no longer plus anymore this means their handsize will go down at a certain point. But if you know they don't run any Gemini then you can do that at a higher damage count so a Crit on a rear-guard can also be threatening. Learn different matchs ups and figure out at what damage count it's the best moment to starve them if you cant get a good kill on them.

Grade 3 - 4 Gust Blaster Dragon, 3 Phantom Blaster Dragon, 2 Shadow Blaze Dragon Grade 2 - 4 Blaster Dark, 2 Blaster Axe, 2 Dark Bond Trumpeter, 3 Cursed Lancer Grade 1 - 3 Black-winged Swordbreaker, 3 Skull Witch Nemain, 4 Blaster Dagger, 3 Invest Falcon Grade 0 - 6 critical triggers, 6 draw triggers, 4 heal triggers, 1 starter The main purpose of this build is to increase draw power and superior calling without sacrificing too much base power (hence only 3 copies of Swordbreaker and Nemain). However, if played the right way, this build also has the potential to actually increase the Gust Blaster Dragon's critical to 7. There are a few conditions, but if this combination is used at just the right time, the payoff may be worth the setup. All you need are the following to set the whole thing into motion: Gust Blaster Dragon in the vanguard circle (with a grade 3 Blaster unit in its soul, of course), and any unit in one of the front row rear guard circles (due to the call cost of Cursed Lancer), and only 1 unit face-up in the damage zone. The first step is to call Shadow Blaze Dragon to an open rear guard circle in the front row and use his ability to superior call 2 more units behind the vanguard and the unit that will be replaced by Cursed Lancer. Then call Invest Falcon behind Shadow Blaze Dragon, followed by calling Cursed Lancer (or vice versa, as the order doesn't really matter), then use Cursed Lancer's effect to Soul Blast and Counter Charge (provided that all of the units in the damage zone are face-down when he is called). Also, since Cursed Lancer can only be called to a rear guard circle that already has a unit on it, calling him to the field will increase Gust Blaster Dragon's critical by 1. During the battle phase, start with an attack from Shadow Blaze Dragon boosted by Invest Falcon, using Falcon's skill, as long as there is at least 1 other grade 1 rear-guard on the user's field, he can get an additional 5000 power, but will retire at the end of the battle, which if used, will again increase Gust Blaster's critical by 1, making it 3 so far. Follow up with an attack from Gust Blaster and use his skill. Since another 2 guards will be retired while he has a grade 3 Blaster unit in his soul, this will increase his critical to 5. From this point, the total critical value depends on the twin drive. If two critical triggers are revealed, that will increase Gust Blaster Dragon's total critical to 7, with an additional attack remaining, if needed. Ideally, this combo should be used while the opponent has little to no chance of guarding against attacks. Considering the potential, though, I think it's worth the risks as well as the necessary processes to set it up. I hope it helps every V-series Shadow Paladin Cardfighter. :)

I have Kujikiricongo (video) as Ekkk pointed out it's a really cheap build that can win some matches. Other build that are currently cheap are the pale moon/DI decks even with the VR''s it around 100. I also have a Witches budget build (but that is more a fun deck then anything competitive). I have a Shirayuki build,a new Mandala lord build and a OTK DI build in the making these decks should also be relative cheap to build. And I'm planning to cover the Garmore deck in the near future.

For my build I run: Grade 3 - 4 PBD , 3 Gust , 1 Caar Grade 2 - 3 Blaster Dark , 4 Macha , 2 Trumpeter , 2 Cathbad Grade 1 - 4 Nemain , 3 Swordbreaker , 4 Charon , 3 Javelin Grade 0 - 7 Crits 4 Draw PGS 1 Normal Draw 4 Heals 1 Fullbau This is what i prefer though but if that's you're build I'll respect it and if you'll suggest something regarding my deck build I'll be happy to try out your suggestions :) . I tried Cursed Lancer though but he wasn't that consistent to me during my playtest Shadow Paladin deck builds. Please leave a reply as soon as you see this hehe :)

Only suggestion is maybe try Gururubau instead of the Javelin as this build looks really CB heavy with the Trumpeter, BD, Gust, PBD, Swordbreaker and Javelin (counting that Macha is always a net 0 with Charon)

My build is similar to your. I run 4 PBD, 3 GBD, 1 BadCaar, 4 Macha, 4 Cathbad (really good against Protect or when you go first or against non-aggressive players), 3 Blaster Dark, 1 Trumpeter (basically a 5th Nemain but worse cuz it costs a CB. It’s always better to open up with a Nemain turn 1) 4 Charon, 4 Nemain, 3 Swordbreaker, 2 Router (soul is pretty much free) 1 Starter 8 Crit, 4 Draw, 4 Heal.

If you already had Shadow Paladin since VBT02 upgrading to the new version shouldn't be that bad, but if you're trying to build the deck from scratch now good luck. Same applies to Gold Paladin but GP at least has Garmore as an alternative.
