Treyarch screwed up by nerfing this ammo mod. It activates so infrequently that being able to 1 shot elites (amalgams especially) was the main reason to run it. They could've just nerfed it against HVTs, but instead they neutered the ammo mod similar to how dead wire got seriously nerfed back in Season 1 of Cold War.

Shadow rift lost the only thing that made it viable. Now it's just meh. Dead wire is now the best for Amalgams. Light mend is even better now lol
