This stage reminds you that this was the game that fixed rail grinding, making rail switching automatic like it is in the boost games, while still keeping the nuanced rail mechanics from the earlier games, and was also where it peaked, since 06 went back to the old jank and every game from unleashed onwards had neutered mechanics that made rail grinding not nearly as engaging.
