The best part about being a Shadow the Hedgehog fan is knowing people are wrong about him. Shadow only “looks” like the boring EdgeLord Hedgehog, but past that appearance his character is great. He has one of the most complex and emotional backstories in all of Sonic. And unlike other Sonic retcons, Shadow’s has only gotten better refined over time.

The amount of Emotion in this song is insane. The chorus has these slow vocals mixed with, still hard, but much more tame rock instrumental. The extended version of the chorus at the end were dean sings is phenomenal too, and the key change ties the emotion around. The rap and the singing combined also perfectly describes shadow. Yeah, he is cool, but his life and past is a tragedy. This song is less cool and more emotional for me, that's why I like it.

Love It! The start of the song being how Shadow thinks before the games started to how he has processed his trauma is great. The "Reversed" turning into the right direction, great. And the connection of Shadow's name being to his guilt of having survived, being corrupted of the fear forgetting it ever again. And finally, once the edge has dies out, the more his genuine emotions bleed into the lyrics, the more super shadow he becomes. Seriously, love it all!

Been having a bit of a Sonic phase, HalaCG was one of my top artists, this popped up on my Spotify and I literally have been obsessed with it- The wordplay and music is SO fitting to Shadow as a character, I can’t get over how much it fits and how well you and Hala sang it, your voices are just incredible and I can’t say that near the end with the calmer “come back to me” brought me close to tears because of how truly tragic Shadow’s story is- and this song captures the tragedy, the determination, the bravery. It’s incredible.
