[Shadowfell - Kaleb Maraquin] "The only sound I could trust was my own monotonous footsteps as I slowly traversed this cursed place. The eeiry echoes of the forest were slow, almost taunting as I stumbled in the dark. My breath came quicker as the darkness seemed to close in on me. The claustrophobia too much to bear I trudged faster eager to rid myself of this place. The shadows didn't seem keen on being rid of me. The moss and slime covered stone steps offered little purchase. Hastily clambering upon them for a better view I found myself completely lost. My heart beat so rapidly I thought that would burst. My inner debate as to how I was going to escape this wretched place we're cut short as a long piercing wail cut through the fog and shadow. My sense abandoned me as I bolted in the opposite direction of that horrible noise. The screeching began to... MOVE. IT WAS FOLLOWING ME! I leapt over a statue not making it all the way and tripping and landing hard. I stuggled to my knees as my breath returned to my body. Leaning on the statue for support I took deep breaths. Just then a horrible stench assaulted me. I gagged and froze in place as I got a better look at the statue. It was no statue... It was a corpse in armor! Shrieking in fear I stumbled over myself attempting to leave. My footfalls we're no longer the only sounds. Harsh clicks cut through the shadow as long crooked legs of an ivory white emerged from above me. There hanging from the treetops was the most hideous creature imaginable. A mottled cavernous chest heaved. And upon it sat a hideous face with long pincers. A long wail cut through the shadows once more piercing the silence. One thing I've enjoyed with this is using it in combination of a forest at night ambience. It really adds a really deep texture to it. This is amazing though, thank you Michael. It's really helped me develop my script I'm writing.

I'm using this to drown out the talking, the movies they watch and the voices they share. I am currently writing a short story called "Three Men", it's about a protagonist, going by the name of Dharlie that lives with a masculine guy called Bhudhi. Bhudhi wears a mysterious, rather unique burlap mask and has interest in keeping Dharlie safe. He contributes in helping her secure the little cabin they've built during the big storm. They have ameliorated one another throughout this pandemic called the Dispopulation, more or less the apocalypse (Not a zombie apocalypse.) and eventually, they've stumble upon the problem. The conflict of the story is these other masked intruders. (one of them isn't masked, but the two of them wear a clown mask and the other wore a ski mask.) They break in and scare them both during operation. Dharlie and Bhudhi both come to an explicit solution to punish these intruders, but a twisted ending possesses the meaning of this story.

i would suggest to make corners and fronts of picture black, or maybe same color as main color of picture, that would make fullscreen experience more aesthetic. also if possible add picture author in description :)

I always credit the artwork author in the description when I have it. Sometimes I don't find the information. As for the pictures, I already upload 3 ambiences/week, I cannot add even more workload.

I always imagined Shadowell as the most boring, depressing, and hopeless place. For example a factory city filled with smog, or a slave mine. The ambient there would be monotonous, depressing, and bleak. That's why I hate Shadowfell, the lack of possibility or hope. The place presented on the art is much different, there's interesting nature, ancients statues, and the feeling of mystery and power. Either my vision of Shadowfell is wrong, or this depiction is wrong.
