Mario Kart 64 Extra Results Music

This is music that people usually wouldn't normally hear. I heard it once before, when I accidentally left this on when I went outside, and when I came back, I started hearing this. I never knew how it happened.
But know, I found out that once you get to the results screen after a GP Race, you would have to wait 50 or so minutes to hear this part (I first watched WhiteKhakis video of it, then tested it out myself).

This started playing around 52 and a half minutes (I obviously didn't stay there the whole time, I was recording it on my video cassette) after the results music started play.
A pretty interesting secret imo.

It's the same thing in every Mario Kart game. The heavy characters (and karts) have the higher top speeds and low acceleration, while the light characters (and karts) have the lower top speeds and high acceleration.

Exactly, if they're off-screen, pretty easy for them to recover much quicker.

It's something called Rubber Band A.I., which is basically when the computers start getting more challenging depending on the place where you are at. In Mario Kart games, the computers end up getting insane amounts of speed just to keep up with you, especially if you're too far in 1st in 150cc or Mirror Mode. They also get their items or recover more quickly after getting attacked than you normally would.

Both Mario Kart Central and Super Mario Wiki (which very likely copied their descriptions from Mario Kart Central) never showed any numbers to prove their point, while the Character Guide at GameFAQs did. It's well known that the lightweights are the best to use in Mario Kart 64 due to their high acceleration.

actually in this game they heavy characters have low speed but have the biggest weight and spin out less

You need to look it up. Acceleration is different from speed. The lightweights have the best acceleration, while the heavyweights have the fastest speed.

That's it, alright! I'm thinking that it must have been some weird programming error with the audio loops or something. The official soundtrack has this "bridge" come in at what looks to be the proper time, so...

wow i noticed that because when hit toad with a star red shell or fake item box she would go halfway up in the ait then come back down like nothing happen its like you have to see them so the attack yake full effect

this is just confusing it does say that in the site but i looked at "mario kart central mario kart 64 drivers" and it said that the heavyweights have the low top speed. while the lightweights had the high top speed. also in mario kart super circuit the stats in the game said the samething. it was also in a review i watched. so idk

Not in Mario Kart 64, there are 4 teirs when it comes to speed Teir 1: Yoshi, Toad, and Peach all tied in top speed Teir 2: Bowser Teir 3: Mario and Luigi (tied) Teir 4: Wario and DK (also tied)

Because the game takes the acceleration into account for speed, which is a mistake on their part.

what about the thing i said about mario kart super circuit? also the site said that pauline was renamed peach and that is wrong just gonna point that out. i also honestly dont like using lightweights because they spin out more and have low weight which can make them be tossed around by the other characters i prefer using heavyweights but thats just me

Nope. The heaviest characters are always the fastest. They have the worst acceleration though.

Nope, that site is wrong. Search "Mario Kart 64 Top Speed" on Google, and you'll find a GameFAQs Character Guide. It shows that the max top speed belongs to the Heavyweights, and the lowest top speed belongs to Toad and Yoshi.

yeah i know but i still love that game and by the way i just noticed that on some track if you hit the ai on some track at certain places they will take full effect like for example wario stadium at the big jump put a fake item box there and the ai takes full effect?

Of course, without challenge, the game would be quite boring, right? As for as the Wario Stadium thing, I guess it depends? Since it's a jump, if the fake item box causes them to miss that jump, they would have to race back to that part and try the jump again, causing them to lose major time.
