As far as the absolute best song on the album....I think that honor rightfully goes to Inamorata. But as far as the best riff and groove on the album....DEFINITELY Shadows Follow. I mean, it just has that chug that moves and doesn't let up!

That was also my initial favorite after spinning 72 Seasons the first time. The riffing seems better in this one, and the Chorus reminds of something from past Metallica somehow, which is a good thing. And You did the solo again hahaha, I have no words to Kirks soloing on this album, they are just there, with the usual wah pedal, not doing that much to impress the listener. Oh well does not really matter. As usual you did a great job covering this one, just think we need more viewers to this one....I´d give it 9.5/10 slight flaws in the solo hahahahaha, it´s not easy playing that bad...overall I really think this is a top 3 track on the album. Hey im new to guitar, whats the purpose of the strap you have just above your nut? Ive seen quite a few players use one

So when you play with more distorted tones, usually becomes a problem when you use a lot of gain, there will be some extra harmonic noise from above the nut which comes through your playing. You can test it by hitting your strings really hard and muting instantly, there should be a little bit of harmonic noise from there. You can also use it on the 1st fret to to mute strings you aren't playing, lead players sometimes do that.

I’ve been playing guitar for 34 years, and I still have no idea what these sweat band things around the nut are, like the one you see in this video. I never see them with professional players on stage, mostly just Internet dudes playing guitar. What is that thing?

Basically it's to get rid of harmonic noise from the headstock. If you play hard like chugs or similar, and you have quite a bit of gain, then you will hear some annoying overtones which actually goes into the amp, really tight chuggy parts are where you can hear the difference the clearest!
