Well done. I played this game a lot back in the day. It's a fun and creative shooter, that got overlooked by SSF2, Slam Masters 2 and other fighting games of the era

I remember only knowing of this game because a cabinet still had the marquee graphics for it. Many years later got to play it because MAME. The Ecological/Conservationist theme kind of reminds me of Captain Planet, Widget and other shows like that airing in the early 90s.

This kind of arcade was quite rare here in Brazil, and I'm pretty happy to see one of the few shooters I played in my childhood here. ^^

The only place I remeber to have seen this cabinet was inside a small arcade shop at Metropole Gallery, downton São Paulo, near São Luiz Avenue. I played there a lot of times, then the cabinet was removed and I never saw it again .... Some friends, at the time, told me that it was removed to an arcade shop in the Tatuapé neighborhood (East Zone of the city) but I never found it. I felt so sad, loved this game.

I actually have this in a collection disk on PS2 and it's really fun, too bad my console died 14 years ago... 😢 2nd-to-final boss theme seems to be one of the best in the game in my opinion despite short, 1st boss theme is 2nd best too.

Alright, I have something to say about these bosses: 1st boss: It's the 1st boss from metal slug 6, at least it seems. 3rd Boss: Looks like the final Boss 1st form from Metal slug 2/X. 5th boss: It looks like a fusion between a Mon.Cal.(front part) + General Greivous flag ship(back part) from star wars series; That little robot looks like an enemy from metal slug 5. 6th boss: Hong Kong 97 ... or something like. Final boss: Death egg robot; Also reminds me Mazinger Z because it's that pose he make to use the breast fire and the fact that little ship enters in the robot's head to control it. PS: I'm just commenting, I'm not downplaying the game or anything.

The only one of those that is even possible is the last one (this game predates the Metal Slug series, the Star Wars prequels, and Hong Kong 97), and the reference is to Mazinger Z *and* Tetsujin 28 / Gigantor (and it's obviously a parody/homage rather than stealing it).

​@@ryansnow2116 There is no way this game from 1993 plagiarized content from games and films that wouldn't be released for years: Metal Slug 2 came out in 1996, Metal Slug 6 in 2006, General Grievous in 2004, Metal Slug 5 in 2003, and Hong Kong 97 in 1995. That's not how cause and effect works.

There was a story arc that had a dictatorship mass-producing light-colored duplicates of Tetsujin 28. Maybe the villain of this game got one of the ones that didn't get wrecked.
