@@samuelcamarillo1349 I think what he's getting at is that the animations look so smooth because it's literally just rotation and is also breaking the constraints of being pixel perfect. The game is manipulating pixel art graphics as if it were a vector Flash animation.

@@awesomegamercz It does use the technique sometimes, but it'd be impossible for it to be ALL rotation. Regardless, sprite rotation and other techniques like it are commonplace in CV ever since the 16-bit era.

​@samuelcamarillo1349 I use sprite rotation in my Castlevania fan game as well, what I'm getting at is this game doesn't adhere to resolution limits so you can see the individual pixels rotating instead of being redrawn. And of course it's not all rotation, the images are still 2d so you need more sprites for when parts rotate front to back. I still like the game though, that Death boss fight was one of the most fun versions of that boss in any 2D Castlevania

If you notice the clock on death's fight it 4.44 and 4 in japan means death, and it's considered an unlucky number because it's the intersection between life and death and death in many castlevania games has 4444 health

Technically, you can't die if you fight Dracula. Because you killed Death, which means you won't die, but will be eternally enslaved, or existing as mush or even ash. Funny how a seemingly good thing can be much worse than you think.

It's fairly difficult, so unless you're used to series conventions it can prove to be a little annoying to beat. Super Castlevania IV, Rondo of Blood, Symphony of the Night or Aria of Sorrow are good jumping on points, imo.

There was a part in the first level of the original GB release where if you failed to perfectly time a series of jumps off falling platforms, you had to restart the fucking game because the platforms did not come back. Perfectly timed jumps. Off falling platforms. That do not return. With classic Castlevania controls.

Grimik Red download the WAD file online and install it through Homebrew channel+WAD MOD Manager. 4 button presses and presto, that's it. I have WADs for this, other Konami Rebirth games and Rondo of Blood. You CAN install them on Wii U's vWii mode as well with no risk or hassle if you know what you're doing. Alternatively, just use dolphin emulator and the wad.
