@@acpn9658 Dawn of Sorrow happens in 2036, Dracula (spoiler) permanently dies in 1999 at the hands of Julius Belmont, who is still alive in that game. Also, applying things like continuity or chronology to the games' monsters is silly. In the games, Dracula's minions are not typical living beings, they're closer to some kind of magical entities that Dracula summons. It's normal for them to die and reappear countless times. So Gergoth's appearance in Trevor's period can't be a contradiction if the monsters don't even maintain continuity to begin with ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hah! I vaguely remember watching this vid when I was just about 9 years old! Ever since then I had always tried to search "zombie dinosaur game" to try and relive the memory. And now, after all these years, although anti-climatically I have finally found it through the recommendations. I must say, it's not exciting as I remembered but I sure am glad to be able to solve one of my childhood mysteries!

The one bad thing about DoS is the Magic Seals - increasingly complex patterns you have a small timeframe to input on the touch screen when the boss dies, otherwise the boss gets some health back.

Idk, cursing was realistic, and I don't think of Alucard or others as of such pussy cats as to be respectful and civilized with each other. The problem was that they made all of the characters somewhat despicable. Trevor is very passive, Alucard is very toxic, Sifa is a b*itсh, vampires are all degenerated from doing nothing and thinking full of themselves. You can't sympathize literally anybody. The best word to describe the characters is “infantile”, and infantile people during the Middle Ages is something surreal, like, you grow up quick in such the circumstances normally.

Best part of this fight is 2:13 when Gergoth goes beast mode. The whole time I thought it was mute or something, what with it being disemboweled. Scared me good when it started howling.

Season 4 was the final one. Adi Shankar said a spinoff in the same universe was in the works, though, and that it wouldn’t feature any of the same characters, so, knowing his love for Soma Cruz, he’ll go for the Sorrow games.

Also it wouldn't make sense to include Soma given that he's the reincarnation of Dracula, and they've already screwed Dracula over big time as far as the lore of the games is concerned. If he was included at all it wouldn't be as the reincarnation of Dracula and that's exactly what makes his character so important.

Attacks from your weapon actually knock the gas away, it's the only reason he didn't get hit with it. It makes that rapier an interesting choice, a heavy weapon like an axe can clear away most of the gas in one or two swings.

I had so much trouble with this boss... Slime was surprinsingly helpful since the space is very small. You throw it once and it keeps bouncing within the room on the walls, floor and ceiling and it hits him almost as much as Soma hits him. But it works only in phase 1 of the fight, then obviously the space enlarges above our heads and it's time to switch soul. Didn't know you could actually fight off the gas by swinging your weapon... Probably the hardest or at least top 3 hardest bosses in Dawn of Sorrow.

The first time I fought it, I didn't know what to expect and got my ass handed to me. The second time, I had a better idea but didn't realize the restraints were going to break halfway though the battle. When he moves faster he's harder to predict if you don't have a lot of experience fighting him. That said, this is still the best game on the DS period.

Have you tried Dark Souls games? I feel Dark Souls, especially Dark Souls III, inherited the cool feelings I got when I played SOTN or Aria of Sorrow. A wonderful castle, demonic creatures, tragedy and depressing settings, dak churches, and spectacular boss fights.
