You have a great talent for training your Ratties! a traveling rat circus could be fun and a way to teach others not to be fearful of rats and to respect all forms of life.
There was a lady who did that at Ren Faires across the country, and was even on a TV talent show (I'm being vague bc I don't want to promote a different person on Esther's channel). So it's certainly possible!

Jellybean playing basketball is so entertaining- how she just jumps up onto the rim and dunks and even goes through the hoop herself is adorable

So many amazing girlies! We have two boys, Chocolate and Bean. Chocolate and his late brother Peanut came from the SPCA in Montreal. Sadly, at 1 1/2 yo Peanut had to pass to the rainbow bridge due to a really bad respiratory infection and paralysis. Then We got Bean from a breeder friend and he's just the sweetest.

I had 2 rattie girls named Nancy and Cream. Nancy was a foundling that showed up at our backdoor one day. She was sweet and loving from the start. So then we adopted Cream for a cagemate. Both rats were sweet, smart, and my emotional support animals. Loved them and miss them! Both were ❤ rats!

We currently have 8 boys, all rescues. The oldest, at 25 months - Figgy (roan) and Farley (ginger hooded) were surrendered to a rescue centre; Dusty (another roan, 12 months) was rehomed via Facebook because he was asking after his brother died, very sad, and had never allowed anyone to handle him. Took 48 h of calm confidence work to turn him from a biter to the sweetest little thing; he was just scared. Then Ace and Pingu, both black and white, Ace variegated, Pingu hooded - these 14 month old boys came from a litter born to one of 50 fancy rats who were dumped in woodland. Many half wild babies were born too, but these guys' mother must have been already pregnant when dumped, they are pure fancy. They are a bit highly strung, but both are great fun and very friendly. Finally Muffin, Crumpet and Waffle (black, silver hooded, agouti) are all from an ooops litter - someone's girls squeezed into their boys' cage one night... well, 3 ooops litters, in fact! They are about 3 months old and the lickiest, loveliest little things!

I remember when I commented about my two boys Ziggy and Caramel. Unfortunately Caramel passed away before Halloween so I couldn’t make them their costumes. But I did get two little babies named Moe and Tater . Tater is a Siamese baby. And I’m not sure what Moe is. But you have helped me cope with it and your babies are beautiful ❤️ thank you.

I have 4 boys who were in 2 separate mischiefs at the pet store. I had a hard time not taking more home but because they're boys I was worried about cage aggression so settled with 4. Their names are Captain Linebeck, Panic, Nugget, and Kaiba. Kaiba's my sweet glutton who likes to play with the other rats and is slightly human-oriented. Linebeck is my glutton who puts up with me if I give him a bribe for his time. Panic panics at noises and lives up to his name (he mostly startles the others too). And Nugget is my sweet little troublemaker. Because of your videos I am teaching them to spin for snacks. They're progressing well but they still have a little bit more to learn. My partner wants to teach them how to pull a string up to reveal a message and I want to teach them how to run an obstacle course. I'll update in another video I'm sure. Keep making your videos! They're inspiring and heartwarming and so many of us appreciate all the effort you go through.

there are basically NO ratteries in my area so when its time for more squishy boys I do an 8hr round trip to go up to oregon to my breeder up there, won't get rats from anyone but him or someone he recommends, love all the boys I've gotten from him (eight boys so far though half are in heaven now)

Omg so many ratties but isn’t it but messy having that many pocket potatoes?
@ShadowTheRat26 күн бұрын
Thankfully they aren’t super messy - all mine are females and they don’t mark much due to that, and my cage is quite large even for a group this size so cleaning is pretty infrequent, plus they don’t usually get destructive since they have so much else to do in the cage. Then I also do daily free range and trick training which tires them out physically and mentally (training is especially good at tiring them out - just 10 minutes of training a day is more enriching and tiring for them than 4+ hours of free range in my experience!)

i also live in va. but southwest va. its very hard to find any ratteries im trying to find some dumbos to adopt. so frustrating
@ShadowTheRat28 күн бұрын
I’m also in southwest va! I recommend Unheavenly Creatures and MKT Reptiles and Rattery if you’re looking for rat breeder suggestions - both were about 2.5 hours from me one way so it was a bit of driving, but they are the closest ratteries and have great rats so it was worth it. They both work with both dumbos and standards and usually have more dumbos than standards available. Unheavenly Creatures is also willing to meet halfway in some cases, however they have a tight work schedule so I wasn’t able to find a time that worked for both of us and it was easier to just drive to them fully. Some breeders also work with transports - I follow Sunny Savanah Rattery for example and they do tons to transports up and down the east coast, they work with a transport service so it has to be on their schedule however it seems like a good option if you can’t find any ratteries within reasonable distance.
