I'm so sad C'thun Hero Power just won't cut it in a real match. I tried really hard one game to make Drakkari (one of my favourite cards) work by using C'thun (basically quadruple scaling, woopwoop, by doubling the upgrade and triggering twice that turn) and picking Goblin Wallet. It still wasn't enough, and Drakkari came way too late.

Yeah, that is a good combo. But also means that you have to get souvenir stand into anvil on a horrendously bad hero. Is it worth trying that? For a KZbin vid, probably, but if you only care about mmr, then hell no

Just had a game with cthun and goldenizer, immediately found a drakkari so it felt kinda ok, pretty sure double anvil will be good

I imagine that in lower mmr stand -> Great Boar Sticker had a crazy winrate which is probably why they nerfed it.

I just recently figured out rafaam even if you lose and dont kill anything still gives you a gold coin

At 7.5 k some of those stat hero power buffs (saurfang, cthun speciffically) are still somewhat relevant and usually can save you enough hp early to mid game to get 4th place but yeah nothing that would allow to climb.

I had a very good demon game today with cheese wheel and ursul, but I took 2nd due to a quill high roll with golden sanguine, 3 golden charlies and golden drakari. Even with bassgill and belcher scam, I had no chance. But still, it took a lot for another tribe than demons to win

I always thought it would be completely wild to add some kind of lifesteal/armor gain (not just 'set' armor to a paltry 5) mechanic into battlegrounds. Make it to where matches could go to turn 20 and beyond. eh now that I think about it... it'd probably be the most broken thing in the history of video games.

Ik it’s just one game so it doesn’t mean proof of anything but I was in a lobby with jeef the first day of the patch and I got 2nd place as Ragnaros and jeef got 1st place as saurfang.

Wait, they should make a trinket kinda like Pagle's fishingrod except it costs more and you can tier up to tier seven, and it could open up the possibility for maybe tier 8 minions which would be cool to see in the game, like imagine your start of combat and avenge effects trigger twice

Don't like Felbat change at all. If you have 2, they buffed eachother. Tripling it, actually punishes you. Not a good game mechanic when tripling your cards has a significant downside.

Is there a list of all the 'pivot trinkets'?

there aren’t specific ones. A “pivot trinket” is just a trinket that is offered to you that isn’t in your board type. Like say you have Quilboar and Murlocs on your board but you get offered a Mech trinket for less gold than usual.. THATS the Pivot Trinket. They are not discounted by 2 instead of 1 now which is really nice.

I'm at 6k mmr and yeah already they aren't usable I would like too believe that the nerf for Twin Lantern is because of Oracle Murgl. I won the game multpile time just by having him bassguil and lantern...

This game mode is so hard to play, there are so many complicated strategies and interactions and like a gazillion things change every week it feels like.

It doesn't change every week, tho trinket meta has been the most ''think outside the box to scale'' meta. You can use trinkets as pivot points, ie, give you enough gold, that you change out, say pirates, into mechs because you got 25 gold from Chest trinket and you got double beatboxer with utility drone in 1 shop.

Had a game as Baron (the guy that chooses the winner and gets gold if correct) where my best choice was to use this trinket or die in 2 turns, ended up getting the naga that doubles his stats and 2 deep blues with 2 zesty's 1 golden lava lurker and the naga that buffs 3 naga everytime you cast a spell. Actually worked out great and i ended up winstreaking to top 2 by only barely losing to exodia pirates. Easily could've won if I had been able to golden my zesty or deep blue. Getting to cast at least 3 spells by using your coins at the start of your turn then cycling spellcast naga into and out of your board was really fun and actually seemed viable if you are ever in that position and you don't have much else to choose for your minions. To be fair i'm only 6k+ mmr at the moment but I have only been playing this game since the end of last season when I ended at 2k

@@FhireShorts Undead beat scam because of the extra bodies if not undead, beasts with goldwrym also play summon comps. Scam is always 1-for-1 so as long as you got more than 7-9 units(assuming bassgill and belcher in hands), you're good.

How do you continue to play a game as bad as hearthstone battlegrounds as a player myself the gameplay is dogshit animations breaking the game and many other game breaking problems
