The double pokey was 'only' a 1/25, and there's more than 25 buddies in the spell pool so the random generation from the spell is luckier without even factoring in the initial discover. Even if you think about ETC buddy (which is effectively slightly better than another lucifron) pretty sure the buddy spell is still quite a lot less likely to hit so well

Can someone explain to me why Peacebloom is better than Book of Medivh at 6:28 when he picks it? The only benefit to me seems to be saving 3 gold on the current turn, but on every turn after, Book of Medivh seems superior. It has a discovery mechanic which is better than rolling for spells and it's guaranteed to give you 2 options even when you don't have the gold to reroll. What am I missing?

Instead of getting what the game wants you to discover with book, you can roll and just find something you need at that moment for free with candle. And also yeah saves 3 gold.

Rolling gives more options than discovering, you can't get milled when your hand is full and it's cheaper 👍

@@1UPMidget yea, I've been thinking about it more, I think its one of those trinkets that benefits players with higher APM and better gold management more. For me, the safety net of the book seems like a benefit, but you're right that it also limits the upside.

So many turns he just messed up or held stuff for no reason, and yet still just pulled that streamer luck. The games at his rating dont make sense at all. Im at 8k and there is nothing even close to this winning a lobby. You cant get to this point because the games over before any of this scaling happens. Most of my games even when i win its turn 11-12. Cant quite understand the luck here either. Bad plays all around and just luck pushed into a scaling braun quills
