Amazing game. My issue in buddy meta is always when to ditch the buddy/resource maker. Other people's boards just ramp so fast I'm always feeling one turn too late to make those adjustments. Turn 10 was great to watch, though even you were saying it was one turn too long!

this skill is even important in vanilla metas but it's just pushed to its absolute limit in buddy meta. less rng restriction than quest meta, but still adds enough rng elements (winning/losing combats saving you gold and having to learn the different buddies) that learning when to transition becomes that much harder

Is lucifron (ragnaros buddy )and drakkari enchanter bugged? Using vanilla versions of both gave me 3 end of turn but shouldnt it be 4 if it triggers twice but Also an extra time? Golden macaw with titus gets 4 deathrattle triggers and the wording is the same

That's not how it works. Here is the order of operations: (X effect * (Double/Triple bonus + Extra bonus)) * # of triggers Double/Triple bonuses include cards like Drakkari and Brann (Triple when Golden), and are applied first. Extra bonuses like Titus and Lucifron stack additively with the Double bonuses. Once all the bonuses are applied, everything gets multiplied by the number of triggers (i.e. Golden Macaw, old Golden Rylak). I think your confusion stems from treating Drakkari as a # of triggers instead of a Double/Triple bonus.

6:04 why did you sell bream? i know you wanted to get some hand space, but you had other cards in hand that you kept. murloc is a very good late game tool and you even happend to go that route in this game. isnt it a good idea to keep bream for a couple of turns to have the option? same 7:35: bream in shop with a really good murloc combo already on board and in hand.

His priority was trying not to die on both those turns. With his set-up, no basegill, getting a Bream rolling to the point where it'd help win the fights was way too far off, even with one Choral in the hand on turn 10. But mostly he was looking for Gem Smuggler as the card that was going to get him huge value and bail him out, not remembering it had been removed from the game (you can hear him talking about it at 7:40 still).

He sold it because he was trying to play for the quill setup he had and had little to no murloc setup at the time. Skipped the second one also looking for the gem smuggler that doesn't exist. He did hover it but then said he is just going to die cause he can't find it (gem smuggler) in time. Taking the bream while one 1 hp at the end of the turn just was not going to help anything in the moment and actually would have lost him the game that turn. He narrowly tied from getting the Charlie from the triple reward on the next roll, absolutely would have lost that turn if he took the bream.

Why did you say your strategy this game was good in the buddy strats video you posted? You’ve barely scraped by and should have been super dead on many occasions. Not to mention there was a ghost player. This was a very rare scenario if anything.

Because it's a fact that Tess and Scabbs buddies are broken. We have seen them before, and the rule still applies. This game was a mess because of the gem smuggler he tunnel visioned.

@@DanteKrystalyou have to admit even without that, he survived a lot of fights he shouldn’t have and the 1 HP difference clearly mattered. This wasn’t “calculated”, it’s wrong to say this was correct play when 90% of the time, the player is dead in the scenario.
