After that video from that concert in Europe and this interview I realized that shaggy is real yaad man than I previously realized just a bit polish sometimes. He is giving East Flatbush and yaad vibes.

Very True Shaggy 👍. There is Music Business! and the Business of Music. And you are Right Shaggy. The Bad Attitude that many Artists have and latter in Life, many of them is BROKE or are given LONG PRISON SENTENCES. Africans and Europeans will be Far Richer in Reggae, because they know how to Market and Make more money in Our Music than we Can.
@CakeFace862 жыл бұрын
Yes you are right but I don't mind the Africans because they always show homage and respect. They also share their Afrobeat platform with us. I don't feel comfortable with the Europeans making profit of our culture and I hate that reggaeton garbage.

Politics and ego is the biggest problem in music business world wide, but in jamaica its very toxic and very petty.
@layzah13742 жыл бұрын
You left out ignorance which is a disease amongst us
@MrNanah382 жыл бұрын
@@layzah1374 The reason I didn't include ignorance is because all men suffer from that disease, but if one has humility then you can aquire knowledge which is the opposite of ignorance. But if your ego is bigger than your head then, it is impossible to have reverence and hence the lack of understanding to do better. So ego is root cause. ( no man can talk to mi because mi a superstar)

@@ruthwalker1128 even if Shaggy were not referring to Reggae dancehall artists his experience is what I have experienced with artists I work with in the past 40 year in the business I know how to market and promote reggae and I am talking the crossover like Shaggy music that is much easier to reach mainstream audiences.

Sean didn't need anyone to be honest that's the trickery I went to Jamaica may of 2002 I came back September Sean gimme light was already one of the biggest songs in the country from late 2002 to 2004 Sean Paul dominated all his or most of it was him by himself like glu get busy still in love he got a local artist Sasha so he carried it again the artist that was more dominant than Sean Paul 50 cent no one else and back then there was sharks you had so many artist to compete against we have to stop bowing to Americans they are the best we know that but we are ok also

i agree with shaggy on artists collaborating and not promoting , i also think sean paul has the recipe to the international market and the melodies he make are crazy ridiculous , so you guys should collaborate in the inside well and promote it yourself !

Prime opportunities, Beenie being managed by his brother, that's one reason afro beat ahead of out music, bounty love bad man jungle, Rema and Tivoli, only clash he comfortable in, Bob carry Jamaica and Trench town world wide, Bounty killer wasn't interested I'm doing the same thing, he was just comfortable In Jamaica, the killing of Mercedes and Mr lexx also killed the growth. Shabba stayed away from the culture and grooming, Ninja man coke and can't leave the badness, now these are some issues why afro beat, bum bye bye, effects really kill reggae dancehall ( not blaming buju for the single) buju time in prison was the final nail in coffin,

Shaggy can not save me or himself, so, guess what, I will stick to my Jesus christ and Shaggy can stick to his foolishness until the day of judgment when everyone will have to give an account of the life that you live today and after judgment you either make it to HEAVEN OR HELL, depending upon the lifestyle you lived. Now, who would you choose, shaggy's trash 🗑 or God's words or righteousness?? Pick your choice!!
