As a guy, I'll try my best to make sure the man my sister or daughter date, do not take advantage of them. That they are safe. That they are happy. Believe it or not and as cool as it has become, but the violent behavior towards the love interest of your sister/daughter DOES NOT WORK. It just makes you distant from them. They're not going to listen to you & will do just the opposite. So instead of being hostile all the time, guide them. Teach them your ways. Make them see what you can see through your eyes, through a guy's eyes. And if the need arises, unfortunately, do what you have to do to protect them, but don't start from there. And also, they aren't your property that they'll be with whomever you want them to be. If you can choose, so can they. The reason I understand and pissed at this at the same time is because I've seen this up close. And believe me, it just makes things worse...
