It feels as if I was here just yesterday; but it has been it's been nearly 4 arduous years until now. Ramzan 2014 was the time just a few days before Eid, I had left Karachi for Dhaka. I had the good fortune of staying at Pearl Continental the last night before I got complimentary ride on hotel chauffeur driven car to the airport 4 AM in the morning as PIA flight to Dhaka is normally scheduled for 8 AM (PK 266); Amazingly, that day PIA was on schedule - the usual 2 hour delay was not announced, but I flew the noisiest B-747 belonging to PIA. Staff was exceptionally kind, I was given an extra box of hot pulao by the sweet stewardess. I flew in the upper deck virtually alone. I believe that is PIA's standby aircraft as normally I was accustomed to flying the Airbus A-310. Extremely smooth (but rather noisy) flight. I am surprised how PIA kept that old plane flying for so many years until its announcement was announced a year or more back. PIA staff had been kind on half a dozen flights in between Karachi and Dhaka. Only one bad experience was my PIA flight from London to Karachi via Dubai back in1994 - the steward slammed the meal tray on my front tray table in a rather rude manner, and he had the ugliest beard I had ever laid my eyes upon. Now the stewardesses are mostly attractive, rather sweet. Fond memories of Karachi come to my mind as I sit here in Dhaka tonight. I will go for a visit with my "mysterious" "YooHoo" Noakhali girl (if we tie the knowt???).

Very heartening to see this. I think if given a chance, Pakistan can do very well. Glad to see how organized most of the people are driving, stopping at the traffic lights and not honking horn needlessly. It might be due to wide open lanes and better economic conditions that now persist, Alhumdulilah, May Allah (SWT) bless Pakistan. Its so refreshing to see Pakistani Flags on the light poles and not some random Political Party Flags and their banners plastered all over.

Complexed Indians... please note Karachi is a big city so we dont need skyscrapers. Mumbai is small and congested city so with the increasing needs of the city the area is limited so the needs can be fulfilled by building skyscrapers. Secondly, Complexed lahoris, you can only think small why the scenes are not green as of lahore. Try to think big why lahore can't contribute 70% of Pakistan GDP which is being contributed by Karachi

Aoa bhai yahan pa ye bike sasti hai you have noticed that no cycle rickshaws are there so people usually prefer honda/chinese bike which are cost effective like you can get a chinese bike of unique brand like in 47000 or 290 US dollar. there are bikes which have good shape and look but they are expensive so majority of people tends to buy these low price bike. In most pakistani;s household there is a bike either they have 2nd hand but they have own mode of transport. Regards

This isnt exactly a Central business district, the main business and financial district in Karachi is I.I Chundrigardh Road, because Shahre Faisal doesn't only have commercial buildings, it has defence related facilities as well and a residential district near the airport, shahre faisal is just a highway linking different areas.

one reason Karachi doesnt have sky scrapers is that there is plenty of land. most folks still live in houses instead of flats. The sky scraper idea really takes off when you run out of land. Recently, it has been made illegal to use agri land for anyother purpose so that would force builders to build sky scrapers. anyways, why are you talking about sky scrapers when you dont have toilets. toilets tau bana lo pehle.
