I do think there is some slight truth to that but its not the biggest factor when it comes to Pakistan's mainstream media. We are and always have been, simply 'lazy' or downright ignorant when it comes to appreciating what we got. Even boxers like Amir Khan and Waseem Shah didnt get any wide spread acclaim or acceptance till they stacked up "international buzz". And I would'nt say its ill intention on our part either. Its more about lack of awareness and exposure. We're practically on the brink of despair due to our "halaat" anyway. The fight scene is just barely getting a life in this region and it'll surely be off the back of Baloch, Pathan and Punjabi athletes like Shahzaib, IA.
