What she said about TV was the most hilarious thing I've ever heard. She is a TV actor yet she disses TV. Reminds me of Joey in Friends when he was interviewed for his soap opera and when asked what soap opera is his favourite he says "Oh I don't watch that stuff. Helloooo, I have a life!"

Got offended anytime.. she said she's a reader that means she enjoy reading more so caught up in it and left not enough time to watch tv.. and she was surprised because there are alot of enthusiasm towards the show because she thought people wouldn't be able to watch it since they're bussy and got so much things to do..

Stevie Hogan She’s worked more in television than she has in film. Also, considering how well her last few films performed, she (and you) should be happy she was offered this role on “shit tv.” It’s probably the most critically and commercially successful project she’s been part of. I find it hilarious when people make ill informed blanket statements. There is a reason so many actors are doing projects on television now. The stories and quality of writing on tv is at an all time high. And yes, it was incredibly ironic of her to gush about how people are craving these stories right after she wonders how people have time to watch tv at all.

When she says she doesn't have a TV nor does she like to watch TV, I'm guessing she means the ''silly'' part of TV like certain talk shows and reality shows? Because if not, that's such a hypocritical thing to say. She's practically like ''I like to read because watching TV is for dumb people'' but forgets she'd be nobody without the TV show that made her famous. She also speaks highly of Big Little Lies, which she conveniently stars in, because she thinks it's great and something that people should watch. Make up your mind. What an unfortunate interview. The people that become famous in Hollywood all share the same superiority complex, don't they?

Hello Goodbye Dude, no. She's not being condescending to people who are on to TV shows. She just said that she likes reading more that it takes much of her time which left her nothing to spare to watch TV. Me, too. As a nurse, I seldom have time to watch TV. The most for me would be 1 hour/week. But that doesn't mean I'm above you guys who watch TV. It's just that I'm too busy being a nurse (and trying to be a good one).

I understand what you're saying and I'm of course not against reading at all. haha We need more readers! However, in my opinion and many others, she just seemed pretentious in the way she was comparing herself to tv watchers. And maybe she didn't mean it like that. But to me, the way she explained it seemed like she would never watch tv if she had time because she has better things to do. Which is fine, but the fact that she's on live tv, at an awards show about celebrating tv, where she is awarded for being on tv, and is being paid tenfold the amount of money people like you and me are paid to be on tv, I feel like she could've worded it differently.

Samantha Brooke VERY disrespectful. Some TV these days is pure work of art, like The Handmaid's Tale, so to dismiss it with such a generalisation is incredibly ignorant. My question would be, how can she NOT find time for something that is essentially her platform? With books it's the same story, not every book is a masterpiece and worth reading.
