So proud of our Marquette team. Had it not been for the buzzer beater at the end of the first half, we would have had a tie game. It shows all sorts of grit to come back the way they did. I hope they can focus on that going forward. Thank you, Purdue, for giving this old lady (MU'67) a great game to watch. Congratulations on your win!

This coach represents the best in college athletics. His team was great and for the most part played a "honest"game. On the other hand, Barnes of Tennessee teed his team up to play like thugs and he represents the worst of college athletics.

Glad we (Purdue) won this won. I think Shaka Smart was at VCU when they were an 11 seed and we were a 3 seed. They humiliated us and outcoached us the entire game. Guy is a class act and knows how to coach and recruit. Definitely think Marquette could be a Final Four team.

Great game, Coach! I honestly thought MU might find themselves winded towards the end with as much energy as they played with, and maybe give Purdue a chance for some breathing room. But instead you all amped things up to 11. Best of luck going forward, Marquette!

@bitcoinisfreedom526511 ай бұрын
@@Matt-fb5xeMarquette will dominate UConn again just like they did last year. UConn was 5th in conference last year and got worse. Marquette was 1st in conference by multiple games and got better. Don't be fooled by UConn winning 6 games in a row at the end of the season, with nba talent that left (Jordan Hawkins), they only won those 6 games in a row cuz they had the easiest road ever. They got a 4 seed they didn't deserve and by time got to final 4 all that was left was 5 and 9 seeds.

@@dabneyoffermein595 Nah ... same gameplan as Kansas. Muck up the post and deny the pass into the post. Get physical to the brink of fouling the post but without actually fouling the post. For the Kansas game, Hunter's flops actually helped Marquette's case with the refs and they didn't call those hook and holds. However, for Edey the refs had seen just enough of it and foul trouble took its toll on Marquette.
