I love his music, and I wish the Rhodes piano sound were back in popularity. That is the coolest electric piano sound around! Everyone from Eddie Palmieri, Papo Lucca, Sergio Mendes, Clare Fischer, etc used the Rhodes piano a lot! Viva Ray Charles!

Llittle Susaye Green rounds out the harmony of the Raelettes. She would become the last member to join the Supremes with Mary Wilson. Nice performance and seeing Mabel John the first female vocalist for Motown Records in the lineup is awesome.

Susaye Greene is the tiny one in the middle. She went on to be a member of the post-Diana Ross, post-Jean Terrell Supremes. After the Supremes totally disbanded, Motown released a "sort of" duets album with Susaye Greene and Scherrie Payne, a second member of the Supremes. Ray Charles appears on one of the Susaye Greene tracks "Luvbug." kzbin.info/www/bejne/oYaVcnVpptWDhsU

No back up around can top the Raelettes. Say what you want about church gals, but the church gals can sang anything better than anybody, Its a God factor experience that allows them to even bring secular music to another level. Ray always had great ladies to be Raelettes. Too bad him and Marjorie got romantically involved from old Raieletts. Its best to stay professional when your backing up the lead. It gets messy mixing relationship in it when its based on sex anyway.
