Excellent excellent excellent lecture!! What an insight about the irony that Hamlet is 'himself' with the 'artists' and not 'real' when with 'real people'! Blew my mind! Thank you so much! :)

The best part about the discussion were the questions put by the host, and the answers to it were very to the point and clearly defined. The point about feminism with relation to soliloquies and the richness of the play discussed in the light of the people outside of the plot was very unique.

A play with many discourses. Politics and state, the family, the generation of youth, the human individual, areas of society. 1. Politics Discourse A detailed representation of the state. A new king taking over the King of Denmark and rumoring controversies about him. A constant conflicts between Claudius and Hamlet and over with the murder atlast. The play in antic disposition with the madness acts of Hamlet.Ironical Reference to Norway and England politics. Hamlet succeeded claudius is a political win. A political level drama with assassination, murder etc 2. Family Discourse A male dominated society is presenting in the play. The categories of relationships intermigled with politics. 3.Discourse of youth This dimensions is important during 1590 and 1600 youth are not adressed as a separate group.Hamlet and Horatio's intense friendship upheaval in the play. Young generation of Elizabethan period depicted in the play through Hamlet's aggression, love, disobeying his mother all connected to the deliberate actions of youth. 4. Individuality a dimension from the play.Hamlet as an individual facing burdens and battles within his family, society and most importantly within himself. The play stand out for its soliloquies for the intense poetic and psychological analysis. An independent mind goes on progressing suicide, death, emerging into consciousness. 5. Soliloquies pay more importance. Some characters remain silenced with the lack of soliloquies. Characters having the potential to speak but lacking individuality to come in front.Ophelia initially loved by Hamlet , controlled by Polonius and rejected by Hamlet got mad and drowned at last. A perfect candid to soliloquies due to the repression she faced. 6. World outside the court. Players performing inside the court. Grave diggers of ophelia.
