The British Council and the English-Speaking Union welcomed Ben Crystal as part of the English Language Council lecture series. This 2014 lecture marked the 450th anniversary of the birth of William Shakespeare.

From the first time I heard that speech as I child, I was convinced that Shakespeare was a closet Yorkist. And now even more so - he gave our last Plantagenet king, the last monarch to die in battle, the energy of a knight in battle in his speech.
