Here's my problem with this competition... they chose judges who have very little talent to begin with and are successful only because of connections. If you're going to get judges for a TALENT COMPETITION , get people who UNDERSTAND WHAT TALENT IS.

I have nothing against this poor guy but I have a comment on those two judges namely Kris and Ai Ai. First and foremost not all Filipinos are a fan of Pop music. There are also some people who love listening to classical songs or music so you shouldn't have generalized it. You even showed to her that she's sooooooooooo pathetic like she's begging for work. Omg! Well look at her now. She's well known internationally. They even loved her class of music. They know how to appreciate her talent. Don't even say that just because she's beautiful she could be in the show business there in the Philippines. Hell noooo girls! She will be a great artist because of her talent in singing. And why the hell did they get this two as a judge. How on earth can they judge a person's talent if they don't have one. Bet they can't even tell when a singer is getting out of tune.

I guess that's why this show never got my attention because the 2 female judges do not have the credibility to be choosing who's talented or not. To Fame, on her Asia's Got Talent stint which was given a semi-finals nod proved to Kris and Aiai that they were wrong. I hope she makes it big!

I'm not a fan of classical music. .pero ang unfair naman. .parang nidown talaga ang classical music dito. .parang sinabing "mas may talent ka pero mas uso sya". .unfair. .and the show's title is "got talent" and not "got uso" .i can feel the hurt. .anyways she proved her talent to the world though and she "got that gold buzzer" at AGT .hurt got relieved the best way :D keep going! you can make it this time! :D

I have nothing against the other contestants being poor.. poor people should be given chances, as there are many poor people who has talent, after all.. This is a "GOT TALENT" franchise. But the judges should only judge which has "talent" and which hasn't.. not according to genre they can relate to or favors.. and certainly not by looks. I agree with (FMG)? apparently he is the only one who actually used the right criteria in voting.. he said the guy sherwin wasnt able to reach the high (or right) notes, which should be the way to jujdge, you do not need to be an outstanding performer or singer to know talent.. doesn't sing but knows the right notes and has an eye for "Talent" yes, he can be offensive to some but at least when he give out "constructive criticisms", he only give them to those that truly doesn't have talent. On this case Gerphil has talent, but the judges gave biased opinions because classical music is "Not their thing", which should not be, after watching the first season of PGT, i have stopped watching the show, it has gotten so predictable because most of the time, men singers win the competition. El gamma penumbra if I'm not mistaken also did not win.. and also d'intensity breakers, so many great talents in the Philippines, wide array of talents, but these 2 did not give them a chance, they only want male singers, or mediocre singers but the mass can relate to because they sing famous songs and copy the voice of the original singer.. which should not be the case.. while singing, one should show passion and interpretation of the song, reaching the correct notes, while making the song their own, encapsulating the audience and taking them into a new place while at their seat.. Not copying other singers- clearly that is what these 2 prefer. and their comment- and kris' comment you are beautiful use it.. or something like that, clearly that is her, because that is the only thing she has got.. Kris aquino and ai ai has no talent- at least that is what I can say.. I can only be honest, they have gotten famous because despite having no talent, the tv station has given them great projects with great co-stars.. kris doesnt know how to act, sing or dance. yes ai ai can sing and dance "A little" which si not really "Talent" even a 7 yr. old kid ccan do what she can do,,, but yes.. they are using their beauty and they do things people can relate to and they wanted gerphil to do the same.. Sorry girls unlike you 2, she has its bad enough you did not make her win even if she has talent, what's worse is that you have given comments that are out of proportion and un-called for.

I hope kris sees this and add this moment in her life as another "AHA" moment to an already longggg list of faux pas/blunders. As a lover of classical music/opera, I was really annoyed even angry when I heard what KRIS and AIAI said. I only saw certain episodes of this show because I can't stand it most of the time. I was really proud of gerphil when she stood up for herself and never let the opinion of "half-baked" judges(ehem kris and AIAI) DISSUADE her love for classical music. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy watching KRIS' morning talk show for the longest time for its entertainment factor. I've noticed that most often than not, she BULLIES her guests (though in her fun and "KRIS AQUINO KIND OF WAY").

Ok folks, I don't want to write this but it must be written. I am writing about Gerphil's struggles in the past, as I saw it. It includes her struggle here, but more on that later. In some of the videos I put together, I saw that Gerphil's talent was not recognized early in her career. For example, in the "Nonoy Libanan'" videos (see #49, 60, 61 in the Enzo Machiavelli collection), the name on the "billing" was Libanan, not Fame Flores (or Gerphil Flores now) even though it was Fame's voice and singing that was the attraction of the show. There were other places (and videos) where Gerphil struggled to make a name for herself, in the early years. However you put it in that video, Libanan's role was only the "accompaniment." There, you can see clearly the "pinagdadaanan" ni Gerphil Flores in her early struggle. She was not recognized. She was probably paid very little. There were many instances. There, she should have been treated as the main draw, she was not - the guitarist was the announced draw. In Pilipinas Got Talent, Gerphil was humiliated by the powerful Kris Aquino, and demeaned after she sang her beautiful piece and did not win. Lucky for Gerphil, an international, foreign entity (NOT FILIPINOS, I'd like to emphasize that) - the Asia's Got Talent - discovered and recognized her (with the help of David Foster), as she should have been in the Philippines. I believe Gerphil changed her name and dropped "Fame" to forget what she had been through. She also is now only performing in Solaire, and not in Resorts World, where she used to perform and treated as a secondary act inspite of her wonderful voice. Gerphil is now a rising STAR, and everybody is "nag-kakandarapa" to get her. She commands her future now, as it should be because she has the most beautiful voice that I've heard, EVER, EVER, EVER.....thank you, Gerphil. Good luck to you.

This is extremely late. I know AGT and PGT are done already but I really don't care. What those two judges did to her was truly unfair. The whole point of a talent show is to appreciate that person's talent. You don't tell someone to change because their talent is something you don't relate to or identify with. That just shows that you're not open to new things and ultimately, not worthy of judging a talent show. A judge should appreciate what a person can bring to the table. If that person is not doing his/her best then you should remind and encourage him/her to give their best. Gerphil gave her best and their decision was extremely biased and unfair especially since the other competitor performed something they "related to" yet went out-of-tune and did not reach the notes he needed to reach. Gerphil Flores, you are amazing. Your drive and confidence despite this setback are truly amazing. Thank you for reminding us to continue developing and doing what we're good at despite the setbacks. You will go far. When an album is released and a concert is announced, I will buy that album and get those tickets. God bless you and I wish you all the best.

If you're judging a talent show, you must have the credibility and objectivity. Kung pumiyok siya dahil napuyat, you have to factor that in.your decision because one has to be consistent in their performance. I didn't know na dati na pala s'ya sumali. Hindi naman kasi ako nanonood dati ng PGT. Don't get me wrong, hindi ako maka-Kris (definitely NOT) pero naintindihan ko ngayon kung bakit hindi n'ya pinili si Fame (Gerphil) noon. Kung ang mga kinanta n'ya ay tulad ng mga kinanta n'ya sa AGT, tiyak na pasok s'ya sa finals. Hindi naman kasi lahat ng tao ay mahilig sa opera, tulad ko. Pero sa AGT, familiar songs ang mga kinanta n'ya kaya kahit opera pa, madaling maka-relate ang mga tao. Minsan nasa choice of song din kasi. Kahit gaano ka kagaling, kung mali ang pinili mong kanta, pwedeng hindi ka ma-appreciate. BUT, we should be happy for her! Blessing in disguise 'yun! At least, hindi lang s'ya pang Pilipinas, pang-Asia ang talent n'ya! Win or lose, she has David Foster. Another Charice in the making. Best of luck to her! I hope she wins this time! :)

they can't relate because they don't have the talent. Kria and Ai doesn't know about versatility neither music. And she's right even if you don't understand the song as long as you listen and you feel it. It will give you the high impact. It's not the lyrics and the familiarity it's the SOUL of the song, When she sang I got goosebumps. And Yes God has a better plan for you. God bless
