I found Germany to be unexpectedly inviting and warm. I try to not be a stereotypical "American tourist" when I travel, and make every effort to learn a decent smattering of the languages of the countries I visit. And while plenty of folks chuckle at my mispronunciation sometimes, it really helps break the ice with the citizens I encounter, Germans included. I hope anyone who has had a bad experience in a country revisits for a fresh try :)

Lol they are not very tall. Thomas Gottschalk (the blonde Host) is 1,92 m. The woman is 1,82 (Okay that's tall for a woman) and the guy next to her is 1,80 m. So yes they are definitely not short but they are no "Giants". Shakira don't wear any Shoes in this video. So she is just 1,57 m short.

wenn thomas gottschalk schon ein Moderator ist der einem mit einer ziemlich aufdrückenden Art ins Wort fällt und hin und wiedermal einen wenn auch mal herablassenden spruch lässt. Man sieht mit wie wenig interesse er das Interview ,,improvisiert'' Ich denke auch wenn shakira keine all zu große Medienpräsenz ist. Sollte man sie ,,deswegen'' nicht unbedingt so undenklich interviewen...aber das wundert mich nur wenig. Deutsches Fernsehen ist schon lange für mich gestorben.

@mrleft3t The people who are above or below the average look rare. The average height changes around the world but 1.78 is a common height for men and 1.70 for women. 1.90 is too tall and 1.50 is too short.

@smacbot ^^ nice to hear that. I'm personally think that everywere in the world is the same percantage of assholes, so it depends on luck if you have good experience with a country. I am german and met just some french people and they were really bad mannered, but i don't think that all french people are like that. The most people don't know many germans (for example) but maybe know or remember off a few drunken assholes but that can happen anywere with every nation.
