To many’s dismay, all SuperBowl performance are done in playback, there is a live feed, but there’s always the playback incase transmission with the live tower fails. The performance is recorded twice. Shakira really incorporated the sounds and some cultures found in Latin America, particularly her hometown Barranquilla, she brought two dance styles that originated there, Mapale and Champeta. She does it all, even in her live concerts, she rarely uses back up dancers, if she does it’s only for 2-3 songs.
