The tense music near the green lit hallway is a nice touch 💀

The lighting in the beginning was a little strange. This mall is really nice though. It’s sad that it’s so dead. I like your channel Brandon. You visit malls nobody else has. Hopefully the town will find ways to keep reusing the space.

I'm 53. I've seen many malls, outlets, stores 🛒 . I've never seen a larger mall with halls, doors to enter the main spaces. 🤔

Interesting mall. Good work. Why can’t your videos be this interesting? Oh, that’s right. You let your friends run around and ruin the whole experience. 😂

8:50 The reason besides Dropshot entering the old building for those 3 doors being removed is because i believe sometime between 2019 and 2022 a car crashed into the farmost doors where all that junk was. That whole wall between the doors closest to the last shown tenant to the last doors was closed off and now contains the pickleball place.

Ah, I heard the name Jodi Chromey! I used to work with her years ago. Coincidentally, it was at a new job I started in the fall after working at Valleyfair over that summer. Jodi is still awesome to this day.

This was the mall my grandma would take me and my cousins to go see movies. Was a little sad when I heard of the theater's closure.

I was a mobile security supervisor for a while in the 2000s and Shakopee Town Square was one of the accounts we had. I probably went there 10 -20 times total and had to fill in a few times. The theater and bar were the only things I remember getting much attention and I had no reason to go into either. There was suppose to be bouncers keeping their customers out of the mall's hallways since you could enter the bar from outside. None of the shops looked like places I wanted to shop at as I have gone to the Mall of America regularly ever since it opened and only have only really gone to other malls to work security or do construction.

This reminds me of the now "strip mall" off co. 42 and Cedar Ave in apple valley, MN. The strip mall with Aldis and jo ann fabics used to be an "indoor" mall with three numbered entrances in the 80's /90's. The Aldis and The coat factory used to be a K-mart that a mall opening to the inside that had a Carboone's and about 5-10 small shops. Around the 90's it started closing the interior stores. I guess if the public can't see it, It doesn't exist.

I have got to check this out (on Google Maps anyway)! Thanks for the info! I don't think this was on anyone's radar as a former enclosed mall.
@TheH4542 ай бұрын
@@YodelingLoonRetail Yeah, the pizza place (carboone's) inside was pretty big. It had an arcade and a play room? Had to be around the time the GIANT Xmen 6 player two crt arcade game came out. Door 1 was between the coat factory and the pet food store. Door 2 is now the double doors by the mattress store and door 3 was by what now is the loading docks for savers. I think the area Is currently called Apply Valley Square.

Just found your youtube channel, Cool idea. I don't go to malls much but when I was just on vacation in Montana we stopped in Grand Forks on the way back and I don't know if you have been there before but that mall is really sad. Lots of closed businesses. The only mall near me is the Bemidji mall which isn't that bad compared to other malls I've seen online but it has a lot of crime. One night I went there to 2 businesses and at both of the businesses I saw shoplifting. The guy at Kohl's told us that they can't do anything about shoplifters unless they steal so much.

I hope you are enjoying the channel! Are you talking about Columbia Mall in Grand Forks? I was there in July and I agree it was sad. I also filmed the older Grand Cities Mall which I found adorable. (No videos, yet, but maybe in late 2025.) The Paul Bunyan Mall in Bemidji has been on my radar, but as you said it's not that bad, so I have not felt rushed to drive over 3 hours to visit it.
