A Normal person would take lot of time even with pen and paper to give the correct answer for these big numbers, even if they focus and calculate without talking, there is still chance of making mistakes. But she's doing it all mentally and always gives the correct answer and that too in few seconds.

Actually racism had nothing to do with anything about her getting attention or not, rather she was quite famous for her time. She also did get enough attention all over the world. She isn't known too well now (by us) only because her prime times were before smartphones and the Internet with very limited technology; no KZbin, etc. She is even in the Guinness Book of World Records. What you said is actually wrong. It should be said that with such limited technology she was quite well known, well received and she did get quite the attention after all; she traveled to almost every country there was to traveled to, to do presentations and shows.

she goofed at 9:18. The boy was right ! It was sept 8 1965 was a wednesday and NOT a thursday as Shakuntala Devi thought it was. And she was adamant about it sadly. She did get oct 15 1965 corrctly before though. So how can she still get sept 8 1965 wrong. Obviously the communication channel got clogged. Don't gape at me, just google the 1965 calendar.
