Devin has been on ppv once and it wasn’t nothing crazy. I think y’all value someone being on ppv or not too much. Fulton-Inoue wasn’t on ppv but Inoue is a bigger draw than Devin. Majority of these ppv fights aren’t ppv worthy. Devin was allegedly guaranteed $2.8M in the first fight and $7M in the rematch. In the second fight, he did get the lion share. Let’s not cap for the man. 25% was not a realistic offer (similar to the $0 guaranteed the pbc initially offered Terence). For context, Devin-Loma was roughly 60/40. Devin’s plan was to fight Regis, hence why he personally reached out Eddie after the loma fight to make it happen. Furthermore, days after the 25% Shakur petition the wbc to order the fight. WBC told Devin to either fight Shakur or Regis, he chose Regis. Note: 50% isn’t fair either. One went low and the other went high.

Gotta understand bro…it makes no sense for Shakur and tank to box right at this moment. Tank is at the “top” of the class so from a business aspect it would make no sense for Shakur to fight “top dog” right now because then the other fights, Haney, Lomachenko, Cruz they wouldn’t make as much money. Shakur is making the effort to fight the other guys but when you’re offered 25% when the other guy knows how good of a boxer you are, it’s a slap in the face. Go look at viewership of haneys last 3 fights then go look at shakurs. Shakur has brought in more. Haney “won” a close fight with Lomachenko so he’s not going to back door it with Shakur. He’s gotta get his mojo back then fight Shakur. As much as it is about the sport of boxing it’s still a business at the end of the day boss.

Haney will have to prepare harder that he's ever before. His game plan, conditioning and willingness to adjust will have to be A* on fight night.
