i got lucky with methi in my fridge when I watched this video. Couldn't julienne ginger so grated it and got very good results. This recipe was very good & this is the first video I have seen of Varun. Very lucky to have found you. This sabji comes closest to what my mom used to make for us as kids in the winters. A big thanks to you sir!

Perhaps dried fenugreek leaves - usually available at south-asians grocers. They impart an umami flavor to any dish Or may be mustard greens?

I tried this recipe and the whole dish was extremely bitter. Turnips and methi were both tasting bitter. How can I reduce the bitterness of turnip?
@katsu-graphics56344 жыл бұрын
We peel and freeze our ginger root, and just hand grate off as much as we need. . . .put what's left back in the freezer.
@sulochanakalyanpur79372 жыл бұрын
Never peel ginger,it contains Gingerol ,good for heath. The oils of ginger is in the peel!!

Just made it. I made a big batch also. But its super bitter we couldn’t eat it i threw it away unfortunately. We tried everything to remove bitterness like adding more salt and garlic powder and more pepper and lemon, nothing worked unfortunately. The taste is terrible its like we were eating perfume😅 its cooked perfectly also.. I don’t understand how people eat it its very bitter! But great video thank you
