Amen, we are hopeful in prayer that Good will always provide the priests needed for the Church. (I thought all priests in Texas were required to learn Spanish to minister to the Hispanic Catholic community? It was sad that the priest could not communicate to the Hispanic parents to please lift the 6 year old child to the Baptismal font. Or that the priest did not have a step-stool for the child to use.) Why are some of you wearing the cassock and some just the shirt and collar? Back in the 90's, I remember Mother Angelica talking about why priests and sisters should wear their habit. Very simple - it's their uniform. First responders wear uniforms, a doctor wears his/her coat and so on. I get that some priests and sisters find that not wearing the habit makes people more comfortable. I think in some cases, especially given some people's experiences with the Church, the "collar" or "habit" can be quite upsetting or intimidating. We have to continue seeking out the lost not the ones who are already in the pews or our schools. St. Ignatius would probably like the title of this video that God is raising an army.

This is a very weird video. I'm sorry, but I'm disappointed in the editing and music selections. The club music chosen is inherently sexual, and some of these young men are attractive and we all know most priests don't maintain celibacy their whole lives. And they take off their cassocks mid-video? Why set them up in the public eye this way? Seems reckless to me. Being a priest is a serious job, and souls are at stake. I didn't like the work-out/liturgical jokes at the beginning. Serious things should be taken seriously. What on earth are these guys and this channel doing? My suggestion is that you walk away from doing these kinds of videos. Priests should just help their congregation understand the Bible and bring us the mercy of Christ in the sacraments.

I absolutely disagree. You chose to think the music is sexual. And them being good-looking does not strip them the right to express themselves in a reverent way. I don't see them being disrespectful of the liturgical practices of the church. Sometimes, it's good to lightly poke fun at ourselves. Might I remind you that Priests may be representatives of Christ. But at the end of the day, they are only humans. They do not have the joy of having a family of their own. So they make up by having fun and enjoying their life as single person. No one is contesting the fact that priesthood is not a serious profession. This video shows us that being a priest can be fun too. That they are not so distant and out of touch. Most of the time, they are always seen as stoic and serious people. This will only cause them to be more distant from the parishioners. It's good that priests like Fr. David sheds light on the joys of being a priest.
