In brazil june eight is the ``national day of rock´´ in memory of Andre ... in my opnion ,if this task were put to me, I would put September fourteenth, because the birthday i think is a date more happier than the day of your death, but in general is good a day honor his memory ,his legacy ... because 30 years on the road is a entire life, its a very looong road . There's a lot of sincerity in Andre's compositions. It's all so very raw yet so gentle at the same time, there's a lot of nuances and feelings ebbing. You can tell they come from a very deep place. I really love listening to them.

If I could define the difference from Angra to Shaman, it would be as if at Angra they made amazing, technical, powerful and virtuous music. At Shaman, it was a search for Heavy (One guitar only, and the Guitarist at the time was a fan of Metallica and Trash), feeling and one with a greater emotional burden, more simply, mad without giving up quality. In Shaman Andre's genius was further explored because he was the main composer, in Angra was more shared with Rafael Bittencourt. Shaman is my favorite band and I'm glad I reacted to Fairy Tale. you really appreciate Angra's Aurora Consurgens, the band's heaviest and most forgotten album, I believe that from Shaman you will enjoy Reason, second heavier and denser album more and I want to suggest one of them: Shaman - Turn Away or Innocence. (Sorry my poor english)

YAY !! Shaman!! If you want to dive into Shaman, yo should listen to For Tomorrow... it's set in a "Lord of The Rings" tone and lyrics... Same thing read the lyrics before the video. Go for the studio version! The audio is complete, but it's cool to see Andre playing the Pan Flute live ;-)

Dude "Shaman - Time Will Come" is probably my favorite song right now. I usually don't have THE song, but if I had to chose one for listening forever that would be definitely it. However I don't like the live version someone uploaded to youtube, they were not inspired that day. The studio version is awesome, the base riff is insane.

You should react to Dan Vasc's covers of Angra and Shaman songs! That man, by his own words, was deeply influenced by Andre Matos, and he does these songs, as well as all his other songs EPICALLY!
