Artist Kent Monkman's work narrates the history of Canada through the experience of Indigenous Peoples. From depictions of New France to the harsh urban environments of Winnipeg's north end, he offers a First Nations lens on history. He talks to Nam Kiwanuka about his work and his recent exhibit for Canada 150: Shame and Prejudice.
