Why do so many people care? If someone were in a ordinary way wrongly fired, or had personality conflicts, or didn't fit in, or even complained about an difficult/cold social atmosphere, few would care. But this particular topic of identity pol and claims of social/race "justice" is being pressed on everyone now and has not set any limits for itself. It is often appears, behind its expert mask to act out of primitive only half-conscious feelings/forces and appropriating archetypal & Judeo-Christian religious ideas & language, manipulating words --- and people -- to its own ends. So Yeah, warning, warning, warning. This is clearly societal, not idiosyncratic: an acted out message loud and clear for the whole of society.

10:00 "Smith, obviously, does not care that it is breaking the law". No, and they don't really care about "diversity", "inclusion", or "justice" either. It is all just a racket, a business model that they think works right now. And it will continue as long as it is funded. When parents (and students) decide that the massive tuition isn't worth it anymore, all this will dry up. The "highly trained facilitators" good paying gig ends, and they go back to teaching drivers ed., or whatever. Unfortunately, this may take a while and a lot of really bad things will happen in the meantime.
@cowpercoles11944 жыл бұрын
The reason why someone calls you fragile to shame you in front of all your peers, is that it's a bullying tactic. A bully abuses you, and then says "ha ha -- your such a fragile weakling." The immediate purpose is to make you feel weak because the bully is secretly afraid you will punch them in the nose in front of everyone. It throws you off balance, since you feel afraid because you've just been threatened. Admitting to being fragile offers you a quick out to get the bully off your back, and leaves you half believing you're fragile so it's harder to stand up to them.

True, and as someone who has had many dogs in my family (and still do) I agree. Also (and relevant to Critical Theory) dogs often react in "shame" for something they KNOW they didn't do, if people shame them for it. So for instance, if a person dumps a trash can all over the kitchen floor, and the dog clearly sees he/she (the dog) didn't do it, he or she will still appear shamed if another person comes in and glares at the dog instead of glaring at the other person who's the actual garbage-dumper. Much like the white people who know they're not racist but are afraid to speak out because they believe they're supposed to act shamed for something they KNOW isn't true. It's creepy to see from my (non-white) perspective, because although racism certainly still exists, and I've experienced it, it's not "baked" into the very fabric of the United States (to use their weird mixed metaphor).

I feel bad for you. I do. Yep - here it comes: **but** - I want to share something with you, and I hope you read it. I grew up next to Wellesley college. Had friends (one of my best friends) go there - dated a girl there (very seriously). I saw the constant anti-male rhetoric that went on there. It was much like what you're talking about - and I remember telling my friends who went there, and my (then) GF "this is wrong - this is indoctrination. These 'men' include me - how can you say these things about people like me?" And they were all about programs demonizing men - in college, at work etc - where we were to admit our complicity and guilt in all patriarchy evils etc. And the guilty until proven innocent stuff you're going through yea - that stuff too. 1991 - girl makes a claim of stranger rape by "paramecium pond" - Wellesley goes into overdrive of protection, tons of lectures and programs to speak about rape. 2 weeks later - same girl, same claim - but this time he somehow got into her room. School goes nuts - I was stopped walking from the parking lot to my GF's dorm 2-3 times each visit by students and staff "ID please - where are you going?" - she claims **3RD** assault - 2 weeks later - now Wellesley realizes she's making it up. Were the "men are all potential rapists" programs shut down? Were there programs on "don't make crap up for attention" put into place? Was the girl punished in the slightest? No. Point being - the same thing you're seeing, was the same ideology, applied to gender, that you're going through with race. I told my GF and friends "If you support these policies, these ideas - this WILL come back on you. How do you think you're going to like it being on the receiving end." The replies I got - with all the surety said by someone who this will never happen to (because: female) "I think this is fine" (policies, kangaroo courts, punishments etc) I hate what's happening to you. I do. Now you see what Wellesley and Smith have been pushing out towards men for years. What's happening to you is wrong. It's disgusting. My sincere question is - are you now ALSO going to speak up about the anti-male policies?
@jankragt77893 жыл бұрын
well said. The exact same self-centered mentalities without check the same spirit of judgment & fostered hyper-sensitivity the same focus on & worship of identity, on control with fear, on "injustice," scapegoating without mercy or end the same self-righteousness, claiming academic ideology can be an answer and manipulator of cultural morality the same dumping of the individual in the name of simplistic group id the same training to BE BIASED, indulging freely the worst side of human nature.

@@jankragt7789 What happened at Smith - not just to Jodi, but to the other 4 staff (from the 2018 incident) - 2 of which were not even INVOLVED - is atrocious. My point - and I know it was a *bit* unkind, was meant to, hopefully, give her a push to think "Wow, all those anti-male policies I cheered on because 'it'll never happen to me' were no different." If Jodi starts to realize that - and not just focus on the one that impacted her - race - then she'll look back on those days differently. The friends I had, and gal I dated, who went to Wellesley, graduated in 1992 - the year before Jodi graduated. My (then) GF went to grad school in Philly, and her co-worker was from Smith. It was a nightmare. I was hoping after leaving Wellesley the massive feminist indoctrination would leech out of her when she got into a mixed gender class and she'd normalize. Instead, her Smith co-worker was a total fanatic and man-hater. My (then) GF would come home with some new anti-male talking point on the regular. Anyways - what happened to Jodi is so honking wrong - and the other staff there, who are too terrified to speak up are walking on eggshells and live in fear. It's no way to live and not a healthy working environment.

I thought about Shaw's question: in what professional context could it be appropriate to use public humiliation as a tactic? I'm not sure I quite buy the "behaviour modification program" line of thinking, because that assumes that the point of the public humiliation is to achieve an effect **on the person who is humiliated** (i.e. the consequences they're interested in are the consequences FOR YOU). I suspect that the intent, insofar as one exists, is probably more focused on shaping the social environment for everyone, especially for the onlookers (i.e. the consequences they're interested in are the consequences for EVERYONE, especially EVERYONE OTHER THAN YOU). Or alternatively, if they are thinking about this situation abstractly - which I think is exactly what's going on - then the intent is not even concerned with the consequences of the public humiliation for any person present, or for any people in particular; instead, they'd be focused on the "oppressive system" of norms and practices we have in our society, and their intent would be to push us towards a society which achieves "liberation" for "oppressed groups". I think this is the most charitable interpretation I can come up with - all the other ones that spring to mind involve base human motivations such as "vindictiveness", "self-righteousness", "dogmatic sanctimoniousness", "the urge to inflict just punishment on the evil and impure heretics", and the like (but surely this CANNOT be the motivation of anyone so morally pure and enlightened as the "Woke", who are clearly aware of all the impurities and biases within humans...) In sum: in the situation described, I don't think the goal was to modify Shaw's behaviour. In fact, I don't think they thought or cared much at all about the consequences for her.

However, after consulting with multiple entities, and given the seriousness of the penalties for non-compliance with the order, which include the loss of federal funding, we are recommending that all units temporarily pause for a two-week period to evaluate any trainings, workshops, or programs that may include language or materials that could be deemed in violation of the Executive Order.” diversity.uiowa.edu/regarding-executive-order-13950

Strange, I found your profile, but a certain tweet of yours that I retweeted a couple weeks back linked to a version of your page that no longer exists. So your tweet wasn't visible on my page.

This is by far your best video yet. You are not just speaking for those in academia where the pressure to conform to racist ideology is greatest. Your voice resonates in the corporate world where the indoctrination penetrated decades ago. It also resonates with government workers who have been subjected to this indoctrination. It's no exaggeration to say your actions are heroic. Ironically, you are like a 21st century Rosa Parks. You are up against very powerful forces who will try to destroy you. Stay safe. On a technical note, the sound quality of your videos is impressive. What microphone is that, please?
