This is so dangerous. AC is not just for temperature. Its for breathing air also. As plane has no window ,AC is only way for breathing. Just imagine that they (passengers) are not breathing and they are in mid-air , they can't do anything. So horrified.

To those who may not know how ACs work on planes. Air coming from the compressor (part of the engine) is cooled via packs en route to the cabin, which is essential for pressurization and ventilation. Sometimes it also happens if the current air quality is below par, the bleed valve from the compressor has to be shut, resulting in relatively hot air. The same applies if the engine isn’t functioning as expected. Kindly critique the service for genuine reasons not baseless claims such as ‘they didn’t want to turn the AC on’. Spreading positivity!

You know.. the point is.. the air hostess on the plane are neither working under you not they work FOR you. They serve you the food present on the plane and there is a particular quantity of the food that they can bring. Instead of all the arguments the lady went through.. I think a more civil way would've been to be calculative and supportive. She could've asked: "do you know how many people that have boarded, opted for the vegetarian food?... Was there anyone who suddenly wanted vegetarian food even after opting for non-veg?..." And if they were only able to give you some snacks... Then be polite and ask them to give you a little more so that it can compensate your dinner/lunch. So, my point is that.. if you are calm and polite to the hostess even in the time when you being angry was justified, and ask them for a little more of the alternative they are willing to provide, They will in 98% cases put more than what you earlier expected just because of your behaviour with them. I AM NOT SAYING TO BE QUITE AND NOT STAND AGAINT SOMETHING THAT'S WRONG, BUT TRY TO THINK ABOUT IT BY IMAGINING YOURSELF IN THE OPPOSING PARTY'S SHOES TOO. I hope it helps anyone who is reading this and gets a good result. 😀🙏🙂

Certain points to be noted in this video: 1- The crew are not responsible for the food that is loaded / not loaded on the aircraft. That job belongs to the catering department. 2- I totally understand the passengers annoyance in not getting her pre-booked meal and she should indeed take the matter up with the airline post landing. 3- The air hostess had offered this passenger an alternative option for food but quite clearly from the video, the passenger was not interested and was intent on creating a scene. 4- The aircraft and flight is to be treated not as a restaurant, but as a service to take you from point A to point B. If you are interested in luxurious travel, I would recommend shelling out the money / miles travelling in Business / Premium Eco / First Class. 5- The AC was not there for EVERYONE on board including the crew. The passengers are not the only ones who are suffering. 6- The assumption that the crews primary work is to serve the passengers in incorrect. The crews primary work is to ensure the safety of passengers. Giving food is a secondary role. And no, crews are NOT responsible for loading your heavy cabin baggage in the overhead lockers. If you as a passenger are unable to load your heavy bag in the over head compartment, try getting a lighter bag next time.

As per this video, the flight crew was very reasonable and provided this lady with an alternative meal WHICH SHE REFUSED. The crew is not responsible for loading the food items in the aircraft, that's the catering responsibility. The crew only distributes the food. It seems that this woman's intention was to only try to humiliate the crew and create a scene. If she was truly concerned about service, she should have contacted the airline in the appropriate forums, not shaming the crew who were doing their job by posting a cheap lousy video that reflects more on herself than the crew. And speaking of service, this lady was travelling in economy class on a domestic flight. What "service" exactly are you talking about ? Eating meals from gold plates ? Regarding the air conditioning, I have observed that there are quite a lot of videos on other airlines including IndiGo where the pax are complaining about it being too hot inside the cabin. If it is too hot inside the cabin, and if you are suffocating, then that shows you are not fit to fly and shouldn't be flying How many others were complaining of suffocation ? What we have is a miniscule minority making the most noise. Was it not hot for the cabin crew aswell ? Please stop thinking about your high and mighty self and realize that there are other people also flying with you. And airlines need to keep the AC switched off on the runway as they need maximum power before takeoff. If you are really looking for high end service, pay extra and fly in business or else let them fund their own private jet and fly in that.

I have never seen any other airline have a shortage of food (as scheduled) on board. Options are always available. This is except for Kingfisher few days before it closed down.

For the people who have problem in showing this video, I must say that they have not gone through with international law of activation. An air craft can't fly without checking every thing whether its air flow or some thing else. Can't you guys see kids crying in suffocation . According to you they have right to fly the aircraft even with half fuel and apologise in mid of way that sorry we are out of fuel. Now you all please jump. And it is not about meal it is about how bad they are with their services. Meal is just one thing. This video is from half videos which I could recover, as crew had deleted all videos. And this is right of every Indian to speak against the wrong action whether they are air india or some one else. I suppose people who mentioned that I don't have right to take video without any one's permission then they must read the rights of every citizen mentioned in constitution. I must say that these kind of people don't want any one to speak against the wrong thing happened and complaint against it. And I request, people have not read the whole story mentioned with the video. How badly the male crew member hit a female passenger and snatch her phone and delete all the videos. He had pointed out his one finger to me and said that now I deleted all videos and you cant do any thing against us. This happened on airport. Is this a way to behave with a female in India ? SO do they have right to do that with a female passenger? If it was with your sister or some one else in your family, would have been your supporting reaction for that. How heartless people we have who are not taking this issue as Insane from the crew members and supporting such a ruthless air service and crew members.

@Alicia This happens on private airlines too! The non functioning AC has happened a dozen times on Indigo, especially at airports with shorter runways. And what does Indigo serve as "meals"? Stale Shendwees for 300 bucks?

Honestly, that's not airhostess fault.. Don't be rude with them.. I travelled to 15 hrs flight.. They run out of Veg. Meal.. I'm also vegetarian and we managed with crew.. They serve me fruits bowls and extra sweets.. I guess kids were more in the flight.. So, some extra meal were served to them.. Be kind to others.. There are doing a job and trying best to handle situation.

@Hem Do you actually think that Pilot had intentionally "switch off" the AC?? The crew member apologies and offered veg. sandwich.. That's Air Plane no Mall or food court.. Family were just complaining instead of cooperating.. Imagine what will happen if everyone of us behave like this.. They get reaction of their actions.. Anyways that's my point of view.. You can have yours.. But for sure, I had been to similar situations and handled it in my way.. My journey was peaceful for family.. Air India Crew member take care of things like hot water and arranged cooling for my mother's insulin injections, wheel chairs, etc. I truly appreciate them.

Stop being complaining jack. AirIndia is the only Airlines that carries out rescue missions to take out civilians from hostile situations. No private airlines even bother to respond . Just few days back when several patient died in fire accident at Orissa , AirIndia declared free transportation to severely injured patents to Delhi AIIMS free of cost. AirIndia pilots never hesitate to fly war zones like Kuwait , Yemen to rescue Indians. No other civil airlines in the world has done such rescue mission. Show some respect. Me being a frequent flyer in different airlines , witnessed such technical glitch in many pvt airlines as well. Aircraft is a super complicated machine , neither the pilot nor the cabin crew deliberately turned off the AC, it was an unforeseen technical glitch, that couldn't be addressed in air. That lady upset about her lunch, I agree when you pay, you would expect to get the good service however cabin crew tried their best to calm her down. They tried offer veg sandwiches even tried to arrange a veg plate within other passengers. Be reasonable guys , this doesn't happen all the time. Stop cursing and foul mouth . There is a separate grievance readdressal system, please go through that if you are not happy about anything.

I was on this flight I had an old man sitting next to me who was using a paper fan I told him "Loot rahe hai ye log, Ab aise he rehena padhega land hone tak,yesi bhi service hoti hai?" Then he said "Service to achhi nahi hai, lekin ye bahot badhi baat nahi hai, Ab yaha attendants se argue kar ke kya faida Un ko AC to repair karna nahi aata hoga, next time se Air India ka service nahi lunga, bas landing achhi se hojaye " I realized that when you have a mountain of problems in your life this is nothing I am not saying that Air India should not be reported for this bad service but you know.......

This is really very bad. I felt like I can't breath. My family always prefer and select Sri Lankan airlines or Emirates. Actually, when we travel in Sri Lankan airlines, we truly feel that we are at home. Very much delicate service, super hospitality, delicious food, family like staff and crew members, very comfy seating and atmosphere ❤️❤️❤️ it's really superb. Once I travelled with my teen girl in fly Dubai. Actually it was my most werst night Mair. I m proud to travel in Sri Lankan airlines. No compatibility, when it comes to travel in Sri Lankan airlines while feeling like at home ❤️❤️❤️

I would like to mention every one who commented on this video that there are few points to be noticed 1) we haven't paid so less as every one thinking2) if paid less then also doesn't mean they will not switch on Ac even when all passengers are boarded3) food was only one concern in whole incident.. no one is dying for food but because I raised the voice for AC which is our right they intentionally dint serve us4) the male staff behaviour to me was humiliation and if I mentioned that nothing wrong in it.. he cant bully to some female the way he did..

The AC doesn't work until your in the air.. that's when they can be turned on. That's pretty common, but they should allow you off the plane until there ready to leave. In the US they can only keep you sitting on the run way for so long without taking off.

It's not crew fault, the ground staff have to inform crew abt special meals...passenger knows nothing can be brought in midair from outside..even though u are lecturering flight attendant...and flight attendants first job is ur safety not service...the flight attendant is on board so out of courtesy they serve you...and problem with ac is engineer's work...but at last the fight attendant who is in charge of ur safety has to hear all this lecturers and complaints in which she didn't even had any part...please show some respect to flight attendants who are there for you safety...

Air conditioning gets its power from the auxillary power unit when on ground and when airborne, it is powered by the engines.... so even if the auxillary power unit is faulty the aircraft is still air worthy .... it would be a huge loss to ground an aircraft for this reason and no airline does it .... so no matter how much u cringe the air con would start functioning once the engines are working and it will take some time for the temperature to change .... so much for your warm welcome As for motherly treatment .... the senior crew has years of experience ... which is clearly being ignored here .... she may not look like ur kingfisher doll .... but in an emergency its 'the mothers' experience that might just save your life stop discriminating based on age ....i will be old tommorow and guess what ..so will u

Especially on the meal issue, I agree with the Cabin crew. Make yourself sure next time that Canin crew on ANY airline/aircraft is not there to serve you meals. They are masters of the aircraft, they know it better than you. They are there to save your life, not serving meals. If meals werent present, it's the fault of the catering services and NEVER the cabin crew. She is right.

Why u re blaming the AI crew. They are not aircraft engineer that they will know how to fix an ac. They r also feeling hot as like you. Nd food... Y u r shouting?? If u are hungry eat the sandwich. They can give you of your choice. Of course it's an aircraft not a restaurant nd they are not carring those food from home. Whatever catering has given they are serving you. They are also not for only service but also for safety. So please be mature and don't always blame cabin crew if u dont get a comfortable journey. I'm not criticizing you but not even encouraging such a behaviour, just sharing my thoughts. To my view, the Cabin Attendants were NOT being rude, we all watched the video and they were talking in a good manner and trying to make things clear. What happened to the passengers was wrong but non of the crew member was responsible for it. They always try there best and work really hard for passengers comfort and safety. I see you are pissed at not getting what you paid for : AC was not working and the Meal that you ordered was not served to you. But I don't think it has anything to do with the crew? Flight Attendants do not control technical departments, do they? Respect them, they are not your waitresses or maids. Again, no hate but not supporting this kind of things either!
