I'm so glad you covered this! I was completely confused about Sketchfab because of that 1 limitation. I'm glad you explained this, as well as what sketchfabs limitations are as a tiltbrush artist. I'm new to tilt brush, so it was discouraging to learn Poly is going away. Relieved there's an alternative, and that there are also ways to save others artwork too. Great video!👍

Right now, it looks like Takeout.Google.Com is not getting the .tilt files. We're still looking into that part.

Let's not forget that Tilt Brush itself is a Google product. If they decide to axe Tilt Brush, we can potentially say goodbye to future updates. There is currently a petition on Change.org to Open Source Poly: www.change.org/p/google-inc-open-source-poly

Great video...sorry to inform you that the takeout does not include Tilt Brush Sketches...only upload of OBJ, FBX and GLTF...i have done my takeout with 34 giga in 27700 files and not one single Tilt Brush Sketch in the Download...as soon as there is a Tilt Brush stroke in it , its not available for download anymore...

This is true! Right now the generic "full" download from Poly just includes OBJs from things like Google Blocks. I'm working on the next videos about working with various tools and settings and stuff to make getting things easier. Thanks for pointing this out, and thanks for watching!

Thank you so much for covering this issue! But I have side question: last time I tried to do mixed reality video in Tilt Brush using LIV, it was broken and no one had to seem how to fix it. What is your fix for the problem?

My method: Rollback LIV to the last stable version (Properties/Betas), do a full calibration on start up, and the current Tilt Brush. Once LIV works, then start up any OBS afterwards. Even then, its about 4 out of 5 success rate. Good luck and have fun!

Thank you so much for this reassuring video. Question: Tilt Brush (at least on Quest) allows us to back up .tilt files directly to Google Drive (under Account) as well as save to the headset AND upload to Poly. Will Poly's disappearance affect the saved files in Google drive? And presumably we can just share those .tilt files with other Tilt Brush users by sending them a link? How they'd get that file into their Tilt Brush I'm less clear on. Thanks again.

Yes, you can directly share the .tilt files through the online resources. A PC user can just copy the files into their "Documents/TiltBrush/Sketches" folder, and Quest users can USB to a PC for the same thing. The full details are in the "importing" video. Good luck and have fun!

Hello!! I need you my TiltBrush friend :). I try to use LIV. I already calibrate perfectly, but when I launch Tiltbrush, I see nothing except me on my (remove) green screen. I see my Tiltbrush controllers when I calibrate, but no Tiltbrush in LIV...? How do you do? I wrote to LIV Team on Discord but they don't know (They say "It's a google fault"...). I tried in "Manual Mode", without SDK, on "Legacy Normal" but nothing... What is your configuration to launch TB correctly? If you could help me :). Thanks a lot :):):)

Aloha! Well, Tilt Brush is indeed finicky with LIV. I actually had LIV rolled back to the Previous version (in the Beta options) to run with the current Tilt Brush, and do a full calibration each time I start it up, and it still doesn't work occasionally. It usually works with the last LIV, but the current LIV and TiltBrush don't seem to like each other.

I have another problem, only one quadrant appear on my screen (Tilbrush only), but I can't see foreground, alpha FG and BG. Do you see them? Another thing, I heard that some person (Like @annadreambrush) created mixed Reality only with OBS (without LIV). They use the four quadrants and composite them in OBS. Did you try that? Hey, how are you? It's always harder with TB and LIV. With another VR-software, it works (I have quadrant, I have me in VR space), but with TB... nothing, no quadrants. Pealse my firend, I nedd help :). The difficulty it's not camera calibration or chroma key (all these things are easy). The difficulty it's the choices in menus (SDK, Legacy, FG, BG, etc) and some details, your config (cam, card, resolution, screen) to obtain the quadrants (I have no quarants) and, after, if you use OBS to composite the quadrants. I know, I ask a real good tuto on Tiltbrush in MR, but it will be usefull for all (even the LIV-men on LIV-discord don't know the answers... :)). @gérard Bernasconi Aloha! I honestly have just about everything at default and Auto, with the Legacy checked in for launching TiltBrush. A few more things to try: make sure the TiltBrush window is maximized. If its in a window, I've had problems. What are you using to capture? I have StreamLabsOBS and it grabs the LIV output on its own. I don't do any quadranting: LIV grabs and composits its own stream, which is what SLOBS grabs. I'm setting up for more videos this week, so I'll try to peek at what the settings are.

@@ShamelessMayhem Thanks a lot ;) ! Unfortunately, I had try this setting but nothing. Somme people are like me (nothing works) and other like you (all works easily)... In fact, I have the quadrants but three are black (nothing inside), FG, FG Alpha and BG. I use StreamLabsOBS too but my problem are quadrants. Thank you my friend. See you soon.

poly.google.com is a free website that Google made to save and exchange Tilt Brush sketches and Blocks 3D models. It connected directly with Tilt Brush and was a great place to see everyone's art. And now its going away. :(
