It is one of the causes of deviation from the Deen and committing further sins, therfore music is a major sin - it hardens the heart and distances you from Allaah. You will be questioned and punished for this. You don't look at how big or small a sin is but who is it that we are disobeying? Allaah is so generous and full of mercy that even when we sin, He does not hasten to punish us but allows us avenues to repent and rectify ourselves before we are taken to account. We're not here to tear anyone down but to advise as Muslims should; without judging and by showing kindness to the Ummah. May Allaah guide us all to obey Him as He has legislated and save us from all evils of the shaithaan, Allaahumma Aameen.
