Ingredients of Boal Macher Rassa:
1. Boal mach (Wallago Fish).
2. Sliced potatoes (2 medium size).
3. Chopped onion (1 big size).
4. Turmeric powder (2 tsp).
5. Cumin powder (1½ tsp).
6. Garam masala powder
7. Cumin seeds
8. Chopped tomato (1 medium size).
9. Garam masala
10. Dry chilli
11. Red chilli powder (½ tsp).
12. Salt
13. Sugar
14. Mustard oil
15. Ginger paste
16. Green chilli paste (4 no).
17. Bay leaf
Methods of How to cook Boal Macher Recipe:
1. First marinate the fish with ½ tsp turmeric powder and ½ tsp salt. Keep it for 5 min.
2. Heat the pan very well and then pour the mustard oil.
3. Fry the fish both side carefully. Use the lid when frying.
4. Fry the potatoes very well.
5. Take 2 tbsp mustard oil in pan.
6. Add ¼ tsp cumin seeds, garam masala, 1 bay leaf, 1 dry chilli.
7. After 30 sec add chopped onion and fry in medium flame till become golden brown.
8. Add chopped tomato. Cook in medium flame for 1 min.
9. Add 3 tsp ginger paste, green chilli paste. Add little amount of water for avoid stickiness. Mixed it well
10. Add 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1½ tsp cumin powder, ½ tsp red chilli powder. Mixed it well.
11. Add salt as per your taste and ½ tsp sugar. Mixed it well.
12. Add ¼ tsp garam masala powder. Mixed it well. Cook for 3 min in medium flame.
13. Add fried potatoes. Cook for 2 min again.
14. Add 3cups water. Close the lid and cook in high flame till boiling.
15. When boiled add fried fishes. Close the lid and cook in medium flame for 5-7 min.
16. Check sugar and salt. Add more as per your taste.
17. Add ¼ tsp garam masala powder and close the lid. Cook for 2 min in high flame.
18. Now put off gas oven. The Boal Fish Curry recipe is ready.
19. Serve hot with hot steamed rice.
