Dickey, this summer following your advice has not been like the others! I swam, I ran, I conditioned every single day and my hair never once looked dry! I have been swimming almost everyday in the sea water and then doing 2 wash and gos a day, my hair has never looked better! The more time I spent in the sea water, the better my hair got. No one can convince me water is NOT good for our hair ❤

Which is why i come to hair rules. I got a habit lol. The first 3 most important things ive learned Dickey from u is WATER is my friend, stop using hair products that are no longer for natural hair and how to transfer over from my natural state to straight or silk press safely. I feel so empowered because of u Dickey i love u, just those 3 things alone have made such a difference for my hair. Thank u❤

Hi. I can tell from personal experience, he is so right. Clay washes are meant for detoxifying and when you wash it out, you have to immediately deep condition. I now use henna to color my hair, but I not so quickly learned, it’s too much protein every 30 days. My hair was giving me a fit. I had to stop coloring my greys/white hair and incorporate oils although it impedes the color. Thanks for this video.

I never have all the answers, that’s why I turn to people like you for guidance. BUT as soon as I started hearing about shampoo bars the concept just didn’t sit right with me. I know people who swear by them but i guess it just doesn’t make sense to me.

I use it as a travel product...some people use it for the gym. I don't think it can replace your daily/weekly shampoo.

can you talk about wash n go in the shower with soaking wet hair, vs wash and go outside of the shower on more damp-ish hair (which we see 95% of youtubers do). What are the pros and cons?
@deeg1452 ай бұрын
I would like to know that as well. I feel I waste so much more time and water while I'm trying to do my hair in the shower, that's why I have to get out!

@@deeg145I agree. Although it’s messy, but I truly enjoy doing my w&g’s out the shower and it’s been working for me. I just refill my spray bottle with hot water for each section. Works marvelous. My feet don’t hurt either because I’m not in the shower as long. 🥰🥰🥰💪🏽

I use co-wash and shampoo bars for swim beach holidays. When I come back home, I go back to using my shampoo for my sensitive scalp and my shampoo for my dry kinky high porosity hair. When I'm home I swim in chlorine and exercise outside in the mid/dirt- I use chelating shampoo and co-wash for those days. I don't use DIYs because I'm not a chemist and I won't be able to get the proportions and preservatives right with out a LAB! Time and place for everything and what's for everybody isn't necessarily for you. People tell me to blow dry straight my high porosity ultra fine hair every day if it gets wet......I think that's too much heat and too much mechanical manipulation so I will stick to my exercise routine instead even if my hair suffers. My scalp loves getting wet every day and dries quickly.

I use shampoo bars for travel. They are easy to pack.

@hairrules I have a wash n go question 🙋🏾♀️: What should the water temperature be while rinsing the hair? Does it matter? I’ve identified my hair as a dense 4C. Thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge. I can’t wait my get my no suds cleanser 🎉.

Thanks for your question. We're putting it down for the next season.

I did you wash and go method and my hair looked amazing. The stylist who don’t like your approach are haters/ unwilling to change.

I tested the ph of my friends shampoo bar from trader joes and the ph was 9, which is terrible for cuticles
